Anyone heard anything yet on the M12 stubby impacts?

All I’ve heard is August/September release date, $159 bare tool for 3/8” and 1/2”, $139 bare tool for 1/4”.

No options to pre-order yet, at least that I’ve found. Nothing about the M12 Rocket light either, I’m interested in that as well as the 1/2” M12 stubby impact.

Awesome deal now I am thinking to get a second one!

I use mine every single day
That is a good deal but I wonder how that radio compares to the M18, 2890 I think it is. It's $89 right now & I have a dozen or so M18 batteries :headscrat. Does the 9AH battery fit both or either radios? :lol_hitti

Has anyone got a free replacement battery housing yet? To fit a 12.0ah battery into older tools. My only tool I’m concerned with is the 2130 LED stand light, and I’m looking at pre-ordering the chainsaw kit, and I want to be able to use the 12.0 battery in it.

I’m assuming I have to call them, but I was hoping they’ll send out the housing for me to replace, rather than sending in the whole tool.

This is a BT speaker only so you stream your own music to it, or even play FM/AM radio from a secondary source. And I think the sound quality is very, very good, plus the app I use for music has a built in equalizer with volume boost so get even more out of it than just the built in volume controls.

And so the radio is well...just a radio  unless you add a dongle to it to play your own music and IMO its way to big anyhow (the one with the charger is even more ridiculous)

The M12 is a much better sized radio I think, but wish they upgrade that, I have one for years and with a BT dongle :D

I did consider the new M18 but it was lacking in the features I want.

Edit I just checked the 9.0 compatibility with the BT speaker no problems and I can't see any issue with even the new 12.0AH battery (and it wasn't on the list either anyhow)

As it is it runs for hours on end with just a 4.0 either M12 or M18. Oh and that's another great feature takes both battery platforms

I love that speaker. It functions as my car stereo as well since the stereo in my Durango crapped out and the vehicle is too near to the end of it's life for me to replace it. So the Milwaukee speaker rides in the front seat with me everywhere I go.

I paid $149 a year ago and was happy with it at that price. $119 for a kit is a steal!

Hey I run an older Durango too!

What's the procedure for getting a m18 9.0 battery replaced? It's giving me the flashing green/red on the charger. Tried a few different chargers, can't get it to not flash green/red. According to the Milwaukee website the 9.0 battery is not eligible for e-service. Do I just go to one of the milwaukee service centers and they give me a new battery, or does it have to sit there for a week?

Interesting observations on the new M18 12.0 battery

Run time, size, weight performance

https://www.coptool.com/milwaukee-m18-battery-upgrade-9-0ah-vs-12-0ah/

Eh, those guys....would be nice to see some scientific data on RPM

It was either Toolguyd or realtoolreviews who did a test of blade rpm (no load) w different amp hour batteries & found more amps = higher rpm

I know I even posted it in this thread but couldn't find my post thru search and couldn't find it on either Toolguyd or RTR w Google

Basically it'd be interesting to know if any of the tools spin faster w a 12.0 vs 9.0

RPM isn't everything but it is an indicator of more available power, esp in DC

I had to do this a few months ago, there's a special number you call and they'll get you set up. Basically they'll send you packaging and a label for your battery and you mail it in. Very simple and pretty quick. I'll try to find the number. It's on their website under product safety or something. There might be a link to it on the 9.0 product page.

The tools will spin faster with bigger batteries, and it'll be more noticeable with higher powered tools.

Less voltage drop under load.

I recently purchased a 2721 sawzall, tool only. I'd like a case for it. Will the case for a 2720 or 2621, or any other saw for that matter, fit?

I betchcha any will work if you don't expect perfection. Use an OMT to cut/clearance as needed. I crammed an M28 and M18 Sawzall in one plastic case doing this!

That's exactly what I have witnessed for myself using a digital tach

Slight increase in max rpm and longer run time between voltage drops

eBay has had several coupons available too. I honestly cant think of any other Milwaukee stuff I can find a good excuse to buy.. I’ve been trying.. I was expecting an m18 palm router to be released, and even that would see minimal use.. I think I’d just be more prone to finding a use for it if I had it.. an m12 gutter cleaner would be nice.. just something I can hit a button that was self propelled, and it would paddle everything out of the gutters.

So was at HD last night and they had a special that you get a charger and XC5 battery for $100, looked and just the battery is $129 so what would you sell the charger for?

Brand new genuine 5.0s can be had for $50 on eBay/Craigslist/even Amazon depending on the day. Same places for chargers...I wouldn't spend more than $20 for one personally.

Not really a deal unfortunately.

I dont do Ebay, craigslist around here is a joke as anything new is same as retail or beat to death. I'll have to keep a eye on Amazon.

I figure it's not that bad of a price and I can return it since it's not open yet.

Why dont you do ebay? It takes 2 min to sign up and it's usually half the price of amazon for Milwaukee stuff

No really good reason, I tried in the past and never had any luck winning anything. With my luck I'd end up getting something stolen or fake which i guess why i prefer in store or their website.

We were picking paint colors last night:mad: and it caught my eye so I snagged one. They had a dual 5.0 pack for $120ish a while back and I'm kicking myself for not grabbing one.

at this point a lot of the bigger web sites (like CPO) have listings on ebay, and usually track their prices on their web sites pretty closely (meaning that when it goes on sale there, it is usually on sale on ebay also). ebay frequently does "15$ off 75$" and percentage off deals. this has allowed me to buy from otherwise well known vendors at discounts above what i can get on their sites.

[note that these are not auctions, they are BIN (buy it now) deals . . . . so there is no wait for the auction to play out . . . ]

I watched that video...who uses a chainsaw like that..:lol_hitti:shocking:

Somebody take that saw away from that guy please.... I think a.person doing tool reviews should know how to use said tools.

Looks like a pressure treated pole too. Not exactly the easiest to cut through. Those are pretty hard.

Oh screw auctions most of the time the item sells for more than it's worth. I only do buy it now. It's just like ordering from any other website
