That's awesome! Wish I had a box like that is that an aftermarket bracket holding everything in place or part of the box?

I wound up just throwing everything on a shelf works but access isn't that great.

its a snap on power tool holder from a KMP1163 tool box. I bought it on FB marketplace. I have a pic somewhere, I'll see if I can find it (with the part number). it i basically three pieces of sheet metal that from a C shape. has two different sized cups that are fully adjustable to hold the different sized tools. then there is a thin bar that hold the handle section of the tool up. pretty slick. I want to get a few of the "cups" to make one for my smaller box at work.

Thanks for the input. I have a high torque for the heavy duty stuff and a mid torque for the... Mid... Duty stuff. Though, I think the mid torque has handled every big lug nut I've thrown at it so far. I haven't used my high torque since I got the mid torque.

I also have a 3/8" stubby and like it as well. There are times I feel like it's too fat, particularly with the boot, but that may be more my imagination.



Thanks for the photo. The 3/8" compact does look a fair bit smaller than the mid torque.

I bought the big ******* when it first came out... broke a bunch of ****... so I bought the 3/8 fuel. great little gun. then this past summer I decided to get the m12 3/8.... a month later I found out they were coming out with the stubby.. so then I bought the mid tq 1/2" (mid tq 3/8 and 1/2" are the same size). so a month or so ago I bought the stubby..

the stubby is badass.. so is the mid tq. I don't touch the 3.8 M18 or regular m12 3/8 anymore. I only use the big 1/2 for flange bolts at work.

Got my M18 Fuel chainsaw yesterday, tried it out on some 3" cherry trees near driveway and trimmed some other stuff away from driveway. Worked the way I thought it would. Not a replacement for my Jonsered or Husky but quiet and great for a quick cleanup. The 2- 12amp/hr batteries are some heavy.

Agree for the price it can seem alarning

But clips on tool bag loop just great

And with that great magnet makes a fantastic light for electricians and not bad for certain mechanical jobs either.

I wouldn't have thought it possible either until that happened, and I've heard similar results from others across the internet. I slowly increased speed and the vibration got worse and worse until it bent over and the tool shut itself off. With a Dremel collet and mandrel the thing spins absolutely perfect.

Nice job! My dad has the Ryobi compressor as well and it's a pretty nice unit. I debated between that or battery nailers, but I've been slowly acquiring the 18v Hitachi battery nailers instead.

I got a great deal on it at Home Depot. Took it all apart, and had it powder coated Milwaukee red. I cut the battery mount apart and cut a Surebonder battery conversion adapter apart and screwed and bonded it together. I found the Milwaukee sticker on E-bay for just a couple of bucks. It runs fine on a 5.0 battery. I have run it for 10+ fills on a 9.0 battery and it only dropped 1 bar.
So far it has been a great project, and it works well.

All this light talk is making me wanna throw in my two cents - I can’t believe how much I love the USB rechargeable headlamp. I use it for everything. It’s crazy, out of all the Milwaukee lights I have, some nearly 10x more powerful, it is the most useful one. I have no issues wearing it without a hardhat for hours on end. Maybe I just have a hard head [emoji23] Did my timing belt and water pump a few weeks back...life saver. Installed and wired up 11 shop lights on my garage a few days back, very grateful I had it at my disposal. Put in several dimmer switches in my house tonight, again with this headlamp. I love it. Always pointing the light where you need it and both of your hands are free. Haven’t had an issue with battery life at all, but then again I never use it at full blast and always shut it off when I don’t need it. The spot mode seems to be my go-to for auto work and medium flood mode for everything else.

Looking to add the pivoting USB rover. Now THAT seems like another very useful one.

I look at that tool as an overachiever. It does so many things well. Things you would never expect a fool that compact and in the low voltage range to be able to accomplish. It gives the user an inflated sense of what it might be able to do.

Case in point, would ANY electric 3/8 impact remove lug nuts 5 years ago? Not really. Now you have this stubby performing all manner of pseudo miracles and some expect it to zip off dually lugs with ease.

At 250 ft/lbs it should take off dually lugs. My old 18v Craftsman with 200 ft/lbs had no problem with my dually (155 ft/lb lugs), and that was with NiCad batteries about 5 years ago.

Stubby is rated at only 30ftlbs more than the M18 compact and that often struggled on a lot of 16" wheel lug nut.

Being it is based a smaller battery platform have to wonder some how long it can deliver the needed oomph too.

I use my 3/4 Fuel on all sorts of old Budd wheel ****. Wire brush and penetrating oil the night before. I usually use 4.0 and have a 6.0 as backup. They have to be freshly charged, as soon as the light drops a bar doesnt work as good. Usually uses 2 batteries to take off one side or 2 wheels

Keep us posted on the Milwaukee 1" drive, would be interested in specs and when available

Not fully through it paces, probably only 100 or so 1/8 x 1/4 aluminum rivets, but it worked a charm.

What I did, was sell off what DeWalt I had, and then bought my first Milwaukee set as a refurb from CPO. it was cheaper to do that then start replacing old DeWalt batteries with lithium and get a new charger. Honestly - you won't see any life changing difference between Milwaukee and DeWalt when you're comparing equal models, but Milwaukee has alot more choices to offer, and they are always upgrading current models too. You're never buying a brand new tool that was designed 7 years ago. (As far as most core power tools)

You don't have to use OK at all, and will operate as if it didn't have it. I know on the last years impact wrenches with OK, they were going to have them so you could set the torque on them, but don't think it worked out as intended. I believe know it is a range you can set, as they couldn't get super consistent repeatable results at a certain torque.

I got the 1/2" OK version, as it was priced like a deal on the non-OK. I do have it programmed for tracking purposes, but haven't really tinkered with the other program settings. To be fair, I really haven't need the HT much when the mid-torque makes more sense to pick up, or now even my 3/8" stubbie wrench. If it's not much more, I'd grab the OK, but that may be part of the red addiction.

I invented in dewalt because it was the best cordless drill available at the time.Got an impact to go with it.Over the next Cpl of years I built up a kit of stuff.
Spent the last year getting into the M12 stuff first with a drill driver kit and then skins as desired.Dewalt stuff sold online over the period to the point while I had to outlay for the Milwaukee to start with the Dewalt sales pretty much covered it all back.

Depends what you have & what you want I guess?

Could you use the surebonder adapters? I'm not sure how well they would fit into a mowers battery compartment.
