I have the 1/2" stubby and it removed the lug nuts on my one-ton dually no problem. I had them torqued to 150 pounds.
WBA’s everyone’s thought on the newer rechargeable hard hat headlamp. Thinking about picking one up, but I’ll be using it without a hat of any kind. Looks like t might be a little uncomfortable on a bare head

I’m really liking the rocket light. I’m thinking that or the sander/polisher will be my next M12 pick ups. Wife want to know what I want for my birthday!
Any word on the one inch drive impact gun?
I haven't heard anything, I am thinking they might have had to do some revising or changes. The Mac air in the picture has 2500 breakaway torque.
I would think its hard to make a cordless 1" impact that is powerful, reliable, light enough weight and competitively priced in one package.
Since the 2803 (drill driver) and 2804 (hammer drill driver) are the same length, weight, and price, is there any reason not to get the 2804 over the 2803?
You need to qualify that with it being a non-HomeDepot rep. I'm sure a few might catch, but most wouldn't bat an eye
Does anyone have size comparison shots of the "compact brushless" 2701/2 vs the 2801/2?
That looks like a rebranded Proto. The Proto has been out for a while and also has 2500ftlbs breakaway.
Its the same tool.
Mac, Proto, Facom etc... are all part of the Stanley group.
Not exactly what you asked for but it's the 2704, 2801, and 2804.

in the market to buy a light for automotive repair. really like the reviews on the m12 underhood light but its a pretty penny. was wondering if anyone can tell me the pros and cons of the underhood vs the m12 rover. its more than half the price and seems to be a good contender. thanks
Its more personal preference. Some people like the non hammer drill as they would never use the hammer function. I like to have the hammer version just in case, I do have 2 SDS's and a hole hawg for more specialized functions.
I still am surprised the new gen ones are the same size, even more surprised they are the same weight. In the old gen there was a difference for the Fuels and people liked the chuck better on the non hammer model.
Problem is its easier to get a better deal on the hammer version, so most of the time you have to pay more for a drill with less features.
well, were it me, and I had the choice under those parameters (price being the same), I would likely chose the drill driver. I can't recall the last time I used/needed a hammer drill, and I have an older corded one if I need it. I would prefer not to have the additional complexity there if I dont need it. it is just something else to go wrong.
of course, that is just me. . . .

There's gotta be some differences. If not, they could have just made it one offering and not have both. Same weight, length, same chuck even?! Wow, if that's the case I should have got the 2804 even though I will never ever drill into masonry.Yeah I'm the opposite, would rather have the option and I've never personally experienced reliability issues w any hammer drill due to the hammer function.
I've got a walk-out basement but basically 3 walls are concrete and when I hang cabinets or shelving standards I like a nice little 1/2" hammer drill to drill smallish holes. I personally just use the plastic "hollow wall" anchors - works great as the plastic just expands and basically wedges itself into the hole once you drive a screw in there.
We just went up to family for Christmas, were going to hang a "garage" cabinet for gf's sister. But we didn't know if she wanted it in her garage (drywall) or rec-room basement (concrete). All I had to do was pack my 2804 and wall anchors (and percussion bits) and we were covered EITHER WAY

Has anyone used the regular m12 drill/driver? They are $36 on Amazon now so I'm thinking of picking one up to keep with my other m12 kit, to save me walking into the house to get a drill.
Ive got no need for hammer so that's not an issue, but if there's masses of run out on the chuck that might be a deal breaker.

I got tired of waiting for Milwaukee to make an M18 air compressor, so I made my own. It turned out to be a fun project for a Milwaukee tool fan.

I’m almost nervous what Milwaukee is gonna come up with for 2019.. seriously, what else is left that they dont offer? How many lights can a person own? If i had to guess - I’d say 2019 is gonna focus more on OPE then anything else.. maybe a new miter saw design? How bout some ****** sunglasses Milwaukee??? You like engraving the “wear safety glasses” logo on EVERYTHING anyway... Are you waiting for an invitation??????

How about some real world stuff contractors can use like a power adapter for the big stationary saws IMO Milwaukee missed the boat not offering either miter saw or the table saw with some type of power adapter. Same goes for the original tower light. If they aren't going to make a small tank compressor they better redesign the 18v brad nailer. And what about a freaking framing nailer.
Some that **** is already being talked about on some the other talk boards
Still need better RA angle drills and impact, something that falls between the 18v die grinder and the rotary tool, the new cutoff tool is nice but is lacking power maybe should have been 18v.
Nope probably just get more lights![]()
