Yeah Promo as in limited time, not a regular part # they intend to make forever.

Doesn't mean it has to be purchased in conjunction w anything else necessarily

M18 and M12 batteries don't discharge when kept on a tool...well unless like the trigger switch isn't locked and you hit that big bump...

Yup the drill starts running when the in the tool bucket :D.

Just hope you hit another bump and it stops. If not oh well a quick pull over to side of the road is in order to reposition it

God forbid if you had it all locked up in a PACK OUT :spit:

I only have the one USB rechargeable the 2114, Just looked and it's still showing a green light been pretty much just sitting since I bought it back before Christmas and fully charged it up after checking it all out

My USB lights have held charges for at least a few weeks at a time when not used. Have not noticed any issues yet. Would be a pain to have to remove the battery though I do have 4 batteries and 3 usb lights. Thinking about buying the new one with the little stand but don’t want trouble.

Hi guys! I'm wondering if the 2663-20 is still a solid tool for impact use these days? I've been looking one for lugs and pull-a-part kind of use. Can't really justify fuel prices (some 570 dollars shipped and taxed and 600-650 locally) and dewalt and makita prices have gone up to that level also. I don't have any current battery system prior.

I can get 2663-20, charger and two 4 ah batteries locally for 375 dollars, wich basically is a couple bucks more than local price for batteries and charger.

This impact was included in a 9-tool promo kit that I purchased from Home Depot prior to Christmas (sorry, kit is no longer available). This was my first impact other than my pneumatic Ingersol Rand that I've had for years. So far I'm very impressed. Even a quick pull of the trigger tightened lug nuts past the torque setting needed on the vehicles in which I've used it. I know it's anecdotal, but I'm very happy with mine. The only suggestion I'd make is buying the impact as a part of a multi-tool package. With some of the kit deals available you should be able to get 2 or 3 tools with batteries and a charger for what you're looking to spend.

Anyone here have any experience with the M12hand vacuum. Just wondering since I have purchased a 5 piece kit and a rotary tool so I guess I have drank the koolaid so to speak. :lol_hitti and this is a result of buying the battery heated jacket.

sadly, more true than not. what it really lacks, in my opinion, is capacity. it seems powerful enough, at least when the canister is empty. but it fills up really quickly.

I think that the filter in it is huge. it needs a substantially smaller one. that would make it very usable. I think that they just overthought the use model, and went way overboard on the filter.

I disagree depending on intended use, mine gets used for pet hair around the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets and down my basement stairs inbetween real cleaning and it works great for that.

I agree, as a house dust buster I think its great, for the shop or garage then no. The M18 teapot vac or the wet/dry one are good for that.

All the feedback I've read seems to be less than good. I went with the M18 compact vac and I've been really happy with that one. I may get the wet/dry vac eventually, but I was more concerned with having an easy to carry one-hand-use type of vac.

The M12 vac will pick up loose hair just sitting on tile or concrete.

Anything else, forget it. If it's not a dust bunny that blows about with the SLIGHTEST movement of air, you won't be sucking it up.

I am disappointed that Mil has not come out with a track saw. Makita has a track saw, festol has a track saw, Dewalt has a track saw (DCS520ST1). Mil nada...:(

well, none of these really contradict my opinion that the filter is too big.

I bought one to use around the house. I find that while it is great picking up the dog hair, which is actually my primary use, I find that it fills too quickly. I don't think I am really emptying out that much, based on the size of the collection bowl, which is largely taken up with the filter.

I am thinking about, once I have decided itt has worn out, taking the filter and try cutting it apart and fitting one of those small motorcycle engine pod intake filters to it.

Track saw would be nice...so would some laser levels.

Milwaukee *obviously* needs to invite some of us someplace warm, all expenses paid (including transportation by executive jet and "black car"), to entice us to provide them with our esteemed opinions about where they should go next.

I would like to note that I can be ready to leave quickly, and there is an airport that supports those business jets 15 or 20 minutes from my house . . . . in case their lurker convinces them that this is a great idea. . . . .

I'd volunteer for that duty. How many more freakin' lights can they come out with? I hope they back-off on development in that product segment and start spreading the development investment around in other areas. Add an M18 framing nailer to the list.

New M18 angle grinders coming.

I really hope they make a smaller 4" M12 paddle switch version someday for decent cutoff tool :dunno:

https://toolcraze.net/2-new-milwauk...ztA3FNQ2MtX_bzKALvhDEpIy8sJSw-LbENaH4cuz2Ms8U

Yeah and I'm not sure 6" is the best use of their time. With the 4.5/5" and 7/9" they've already got 95% of the market covered

I'm surprised to see the braking grinder w a slide switch. Allegedly they were not making the 4.5's like that 'cause the slide switch was a safety issue, negating the point of the braking (I'm not saying it made sense!)

I am thrilled to see they're not abandoning the slide switch though. And I still say the braking technology is completely unnecessary

Thanks guys for the verdict of the M12 Vacuum. I would not be interested in 18 volt vacuum at this point. i do have a good selection 18volt Bosch tools already and not looking for a new platform. I was thinking of the M12 as I have the jacket and 6 tools already. I was going to use it as a vac for the vehicles. For pet hair in the house I use the Roomba for light pick ups. Thanks again for your help.

what are the opinions of the new M18 fuel jib saw 2737b? it seems to sell for twice what the non-fuel M12 2445 sells for. . . . . is it twice the saw?

I have one for about a week and really like it for the most part. The sawdust blower feature is nice.

I have no idea what it is either. My buddy sent it to me since I had purchased some Milwaukee gear. Have a feeling it is a joke. But I will let him simmer at bit to see what he comes back with.

Jackets are better.. hoodies are good if you wear them under something.

Many people fail to realize, you will only get the benefits of wearing heated gear - by wearing less clothes.

That's where the hoodie and vest are better than the jacket. You can wear them over just a t-shirt then wear an unheated jacket over the top. It holds in the heat better. I have one of each and I hardly ever wear the jacket, though it is a nice jacket on its own even without the heat.

Thanks guys! Better to have the heated layer closer to the skin and then add insulation on top if needed?

So these are a replacement for the 2780/2781/2783 grinders they have now.. Tool free wheel changes are something surely people will like.

It looks like they'll be a replacement of the 2783 with a more powerful motor. These are supposed to have the power of a 13-amp corded grinder. I've had the 2783 for a year or so and I feel like it has plenty of power, and the brake is nice if I'm using it for a mobile welding job and only have one grinder with me. The Fixtec nut is a big plus, not having to use (and not lose) the wrench for changing discs.

I’m not doing it lately, just cause its too much to worry about keeping up with batteries with how im working right now. But i spent several winters working outside in a tank top, long sleeve shirt, heated jacket and carhartt hat in temps down to 0 i believe. I think it also depends on the jackets you have. I think the older soft shell jackets are better than the newer tough shell (unless they changed them again this year). When they first came out with the tougher material, i bought 2 tried 2 different sizes - returned them both just because the jackets themselves didnt work as good compared to the old.. i even wrote Milwaukee to tell them how disappointed i was after owning serveal of the older models. They sent me a 9.0 battery and fast charger for my trouble.

Now I’m wearing 5 layers and it takes me 5 minutes to undress to piss.

I just sent my boss a video surveying a job an engineer was having trouble with - my shadow on the ground looks like I’m 300 lbs cause it was 10 degrees outside.

Ive only had a few times, mainly at night, where the temp dropped so low i had to throw a carhartt jacket over my heated Milwaukee jacket.
