I don't have the paper manual that came with it, but the online manual shows something different.

Charging the Battery1. Plug your USB cable into a power source such as an AC wall adaptor, computer or car port.2. Lift the rubber cover to expose the micro USB port. Insert the micro USB plug into the micro USB port.3. The indicator light will display the charging status:Red Solid: Charging, 0-79% chargedGreen Flashing: Charging, 80-99% chargedGreen Solid: 100% Charged Red/Green Flashing: Damaged or Faulty BatteryIf the light indicator flashes red and green, check that the battery is fully seated into the bay. Remove the battery and reinsert. If the light con-tinues to flash red and green, the battery may be extremely hot or cold, or wet. Allow the battery to cool down, warm up, or dry out and then reinsert. If the problem persists, contact a MILWAUKEE service facility.

Looks like there should be no blinking while charging except for green when its almost done. Makes no reference of the orange light either

Ok I now have had the fuel 3/8 ratchet for a few weeks.
Overcome any fitment issues with a variety of adapters extensions ect.
Got sick of reaching for a breaker bar with the non fuel one.
Battery life is beyond excellent in comparison. I reckon I’m close to the same runtime with a 2ah battery on the fuel V a 4ah on the non fuel.
Never had the chance to really compare tools side by side as my few non fuel m12 stuff doesn’t have a fuel version (dremel,polisher,multitool) ...

Picked this up a few days ago. My HD didnt have any in stock so I had to order it and go pick it up.

Love it so far. Upgraded from a tri-stack craftsman 26 toolbox set (you can see the top of this on the bench)

I should've bought this thing years ago, my CM boxes have been full since I moved into this house.

My only gripe is the advertising stickers, but patience and a heat gun made quick work of them.

This isnt my first milwaukee product, nor will it be my last. I am green with envy at some of the tool collections posted here though.

Does Milwaukee make an adapter for impact wrenches that turn it into an Impact Driver. I seen a Bosch youtube video that they had 1, But I can find it anywhere

Not related to any tools, but for months I wasn’t seeing any updates of this post on tapatalk and just now figured out that somehow it was under “ignored discussions” ...someone’s trying to tell me that I spend too much money on power tools LOL....

I've suggested that several times. Ideally though, the pruner could be powered with battery in handle, or battery mounted on yourself and has an extension cord to the tool (maybe using the existing power packs for M12 or M18), or can be mounted at the end of a pole. The apple growers around here would buy every last one of them

I'd also like to see a new rapid charger. One that does M12, M18, USB batteries, and has a standard & USB-C port. I'd also like to see them upgrade or have the option of USB-C ported batteries for the personal lighting.

The battery indicator light is flashing like it’s overheated. I am at work and talked to the owner and he informed me our customers were having the same issue and he contacted our Milwaukee rep who confirmed bad batteries coming out of the factory which we recieved.

Maybe ask a question before accusing me of being a troll you jackass.

I had issues with my battery charger showing fault codes right after being UPS delivered in cold weather. Lights were flashing like Christmas Tree :D

After letting them (and the charger) warm up and a round of plugging replugging in the charger and battery in different sequences they all took a charge just fine :dunno:

As far as I know that is normal and what it is supposed to show when the battery/charger is either to hot or cold. Sadly mine was stored in the store and at room tempature and it was confirmed by our Milwaukee rep that we recieved a bad batch of batteries with our drills.

Any specific information on these bad batteries? I haven't seen anything mentioned about bad batteries from the get-go. I would imagine we would have heard about this sooner if it is wide-spread.

The only batteries I've seen complaints on are some peoples 9ah batteries not holding a charge down the road, due to poor performing cells in-side (LG I believe).

Are you a reseller of Milwaukee (you mention your customers having issues)? If you do sell them, you know the tools are better than what you are complaining about, and everyone can have a bad batch, which sounds like the case here if it has happened to more than just you.

edit: I looked back and see your only other Milwaukee post was about how you could get Milwaukee tools for cost + 10%. I am curious what your final cost was on the drill kit you bought? I have to think the price is good enough to give them another chance, as 99%+ people are happy with their Milwaukee tools.

I will ask the boss about any further info on the bad batteries and relay the information.

I work for a lumber yard/ hardware store and (before my purchase and me knowing) we had multiple returns of the product because of faulty batteries.

The customer cost on the drill was $199 + tax normally. We had it on sale for $139 + tax if I remember correctly. I paid $93 including tax and all.

Sorry if my comment in this thread caused waves. I still enjoy Milwaukee products and will be purchasing more in the future. I know bad batches can happen and I do not hold it against Milwaukee even if that’s how it sounded.

Sorry to jump the gun and accuse you of trolling. If you posted any details with your initial post I wouldn't have responded that way. Your post appeared to be one of the baseless complaints I see routinely here and elsewhere where someone drops a bomb and leaves.

Once again, my apology. Failures do happen, but it hasn't been my experience with any of the Milwaukee tools or batteries I have purchased since replacing all of my cordless stuff in the last 9 months. Seems like Milwaukee would warranty it without issue, but I understand that most would just return the product.

I did find out our Milwaukee rep sent out batteries for any of our customers that bought the faulty ones and want to keep the drill. We will be swapping out the faulty batteries for the new ones the rep sent.

I may have to repurchase my return and swap the batteries. I am really looking forward to owning the drill. On a side note I can get the drill + sawzall (and some extras) combo for $160 out the door so I may do that.

If you guys needed to buy...Fuel 18v...

Surge 1/4” driver (1 or 2 of these)
Sawzall
Hammer/drill
Jigsaw
1/2” high impact wrench
3/8” mid impact wrench
At least 4 5.0 xtended life batts.

I have plenty of chargers from previous purchases...

I have been looking for the best way to buy either sets, a set, bare tool (s)...

Looking for suggestions on ways to package purchase (like on Amazon)...or if you guys have some other source or ideas...

I was just looking at pole mounted tree pruners.. thats how i found that. Cordless 16’ tree pruner - that would be an awesome cordless tool. And not the pole mounted chainsaw before anyone suggest it. Pruners are simple - nice small head and lightweight compared to a saw.. every tree company on earth would buy one to eliminate that ******* rope.

I’m gonna have my company order the Jameson pruner head to work with the fiberglass sticks we already have.. i wanna be able to cut tie wraps from the ground to help speed things up.

What batteries? Since you mentioned $199 kit I assume its CP 1.5 or XC 3.0

Does anyone know where you can get replacement battery housings? I have an XC5.0 that a friend dropped and broke the case of battery. It's still working and held together by electrical tape, hopes and dreams currently.
