Does anyone know where you can get replacement battery housings? I have an XC5.0 that a friend dropped and broke the case of battery. It's still working and held together by electrical tape, hopes and dreams currently.

Thanks

Aftermarket can be found on amazon for like $20 with mixed reviews and people stating it needs slight modification. For twice that you can prob buy a new battery. For like $30 you can get an aftermarket 5.0 battery - that has the same ****** case you’d buy for $20

My addiction has worn thin when it comes to ratchets. I went to the dark side.

I just picked up one of these, m12 drill driver, $34 off amazon. The idea is it can live in my box with my other m12 kit and save me going home to pick up my 18v drill. Possibly should have spent the extra $50 for the fuel version as it's got a 13mm chuck, but that seemed too much to spend for laziness.

The stupid part is that most of those tools are corded, where the Milwaukee picture is all M18/M12.

Did you guys see this picture in HF thread

Wow did they contract with TTI or what

Can you buy rubber boots for the m12 ratchet on their own?
I bought a skin came with an adapter
Kit version has a boot.
At least here in orstraylah

Sort of, just not Milwaukee. Snap-On makes one for their ratchet that fits perfect, and the best part is it's only like $6 (here in the you essay). Milwaukee only released ones for the fuel models.

I not sure what you are trying to say about a skin & adapter.

Looks closer to 50/50. It seems most of the tools have a battery & corded version, aside from the decent number of lights they have. All the SDS drills look to be corded.

That stubby 10" chainsaw caught my eye, and makes me think this line up is most comparable to Ryobi

Skin is the bare tool. Ie not a kit no batteries charger ect.
Adapter 3/8 to 1/4 is the only accessory that comes with the skin

I do have the m12 fuel ratchet now.

Mine came on my SO as part of the kit, also I got a new one when it came back from warranty.

I like the one the guy posted more than the one I have, as the design looks like it doesn't prevent it from being used on some tools. Only downside is it's twice as much. Here is the SureBonder model for $25 (few select tools it doesn't work with)

I've been using the SureBonder adapter for a few months and it's definitely worth the price. Currently, I only have the Ryobi glue gun, but I might pick up the high volume inflator and chemical sprayer this spring. Just a few oddball tools that Milwaukee doesn't make.

I love my Milwaukee stuff and it's proven reliable but man the prices sure are getting proud. Never used any ryobi stuff but if it's dependable and stays that price they will start stealing sales.

Compared to the price after Xmas, that isn't so hot. You could snag that kit, plus 2 tools for free. I got the large wet/dry vac, brushless jigsaw & kit for $170. Only did the deal to get the vac for cheap really. Next Ryobi tool will be their backpack chemical sprayer. I couldn't get two Ryobi units w/ batteries for the price of the bare Milwaukeee, so easy choice for now.

Milwaukee has a Super Charger coming out, per ToolGuyd. Cost is $150

Sadly it is only M12 & M18, and the only benefit is for M18 HO batteries with the larger cells.

See I don't really plan on switching from Milwaukee as I'm decently invested into it, but occasional home use when they do package sales like you mention makes them a better option than going red. My biggest knock on Milwaukee is they set their sales up well but never what I need or want and it's always the same stuff.

Looking to get some additional batteries. Should I get the high output hd or high output xc to get the most power out of an impact gun?

The HO will always provide more available power. When I was doing brake work recently, I could feel an increase in performance with the HO batteries. I've always thought impacts should work the same whether it be a 2ah compact or 12ah HO. They have a rating on the box, but it never has an asterix saying only with this battery. Well my caliper bolts were not coming off with the 2ah, but when I stuck a 6ah HO on, the impact sounded like it found a new gear (and the bolts came off).

I wouldn't recommend the 12ah for weight reasons, but I've swapped all but 1 of my 5ah XC for 6ah HO. Next step is getting rid of the 2ah's to upgrade to the new 3ah HO. While typing that, I realized that is something you may want to wait for. The 3ah HO might deliver what you are looking for, but at the most minimal weight.

Amen.

Milwaukee, if you’re listening, your prices aren’t helping you. Please stop subsidizing your rogue R&D adventures like reinventing the friggen tape measure (the brick called the STUD) with your power tool sales!!! [insert R-Kelly interview GIF meme here]

The price of that charger is literally comical. Is Milwaukee on financial death row or something? (the answer is NO)

Yeah $160 for a charger that only has 1 M12 & 1 M18. No details if it charges both at the same time.

yep. if I am going to spend that kind of money on a charger, it needs to do M12, M18, and the "usb" batteries. it also needs to do them all at the same time.

and it needs to beep when a battery is charged, so I can replace it with another.

and maybe a USB A port or two for the phone or a speaker. . . . . .

I see some stores are starting to get the new Milwaukee Quik-Lok systems in. Anyone had a chance to pick one up yet or use one?

I'm still debating if I want to go that route or not. Hoping for some deals on the old stuff when the new system gets a little more available.

I saw a bunch of them in the rafters at one store, dont think they will come onto the floor until they setup the promo display for them. BOGO starts in April, thought it would of been March. The pole kit I dont think is shipping yet only the bare tool.

I dont know if the old hedge trimmer is being discontinued, but definitely the old string trimmer. I feel like the wacker kit price will drop below $199 next week or one after that.

There was a post in the deals section that home depot will match the price of 169 from rural king: https://www.ruralking.com/milwaukee-m18-fuel-string-trimmer-9-0-kt
Ship to store for free shipping.

I might order one mainly for the battery. I want a string trimmer and don't really care if its the new one or not, at this price it seems worth it even if i get the pole saw later.

The attachments are all showing a pickup date of 3/14 near me, but the trimmer kit with battery (Model # 2825-21ST) is showing numerous available for pickup today in my area stores.

I may have to take a trip after work and actually see if I can look at it in person.

The stores that sold out of the old one in my area, have the new one down in place of it. No actually display yet though.

Do you have more details on BOGO promo? I was tempted to buy the new unit this week when I could have got 15% off the $330, ~$50 off, plus 11% back on $330. So about $245 in the end. Thought I'd try to hold off figuring there would be some type of BOGO deal similar to past OPE offers.

I wonder if you the cost of the new trimmer would have been more, if Milwaukee didnt make the box much more compact?
