I have no input on the light but I know Home Depot has them in store for $79. I am thinking of picking one up.

Penn. Boy,
I love that searchlight. Best $100 I ever spent on a light. It does spot or flood or strobe, or combination of spot and flood. It has a reach of like 600 yards, and while at the sil's house can spot deer in a field so far away it is incredible. I'm going to be buying two more as gifts for people. It also goes on jobs with me cause I can put it on flood and easily light up a dark basement work area or even under a sink, etc. At that price, it is a no brainer. Cheers, Jim Don

Nps 2019 I’m guessing.

Lol.. no.. personal matter.

Today is over as far as I’m concerned- and i fucked up the count.. lol
T- 1 day? (Friday) Ok - sounds good. Lets go with that..

A unintentional side effect is I will gain access to more Milwaukee stuff as a result, so that makes it applicable to the tread.

I ran by HD tonight and bought the search light. Didn't do my usual wait forever for the price to keep dropping until its gone or goes back up. Haven't used it yet

3 modes (4 maybe?) full flood, full spot, spot flood hybrid, and does that one strobe too if you HOLD the mode button down for a few seconds? I cant remember.

The rotating head, and dual base (lay it flat down, or stand it up on the battery) combined with the different modes make that thing one of the best lights they make. IP rated too. 65?? I dunno.. you’ll love it.. consider what your getting for the price of the m12 flashlight.

I have one... and HOLY WOW it is bright! I live on some property and got a big ravine past the backyard...I can see skunks and coyotes cruzin around at 500 yards+. I watch owls in trees over yonder as well.

I now take it 4wheelin and can spot far far away. Highly recommend if you really need to reach out.

It also has flood, which lights up most of the side yard (.5acre maybe), then it has flood+beam, and then of course just beam.

I don't have the spotlight, but I did pick up both:

The 700L flashlight https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Lighting/Personal-Lighting/2110-21 Rechargeable redlithium battery (built in covered port...no taking it all apart), very bright "soft" white light.

And the Radius 2144-20 site light for general use (power outages, work light, etc.)

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Lighting/Task-Lighting/2144-20 Takes 18v batteries *or* plugs into a/c...2200 lumens on high that can be turned down and can also do a 360 degree light or a 90 degree task light.

Very happy with both of these.

Search light is an awesome light.. literally one of the best options they have. That thing should sell for 2x what it does.

Its great. Throws like crazy. Good floodlight too. Only downside is size, its a little big to leave in the truck etc.

I just picked up the search light last week, but won't be able to truly test it until I get out of town. It's one of the few lights I haven't tried out yet, and got it for $60. I know I like the functionality of it much better, though I also own the Ryobi LED spotlight that has been great. That's rated at 2,500 lumens, almost twice the Milwaukee. I'm looking forward to comparing, but wondering if anyone else has had a chance? Would love to toss another Ryobi item, but will be keeping the brightest.

I'm down to 5 Ryobi products now. The spotlight, hybrid fan, 1-gal chemical sprayer, and still in the box is the 6gal wet/dry vac bought for $43. Grabbed the hybrid transfer pump for $25 as well, with the intention of never using it, so it will stay boxed up on a shelf somewhere. Up for sale now, are the pole saw & one of their better blowers.

I use the searchlight on my boat. I came in after dark and it helped spot the markers to the moorage. I used it in spot mode, and once in flashing mode in heavy fog. I like it. No signs of corrosion so far (saltwater port).

Meanwhile is a 30' Grady White.

I had Gen1 and like everything I had to have the new version. I dislike Gen2 very much, the switch lock *****, your pants/shorts get caught in the rear suction all the time, and the handle is to small. Performance seems to be the same, balance isnt much different, weight isnt an issue.

For the life of me I dont know why Gen2 was released with more negatives and possibly no positives depending on your perspective.

I think maybe there were a high rate of problems with the variable motor speed controller on the Gen 1. I think the Gen 2 is just 2 speed. I have the Gen 1, and the controller failed - smoke was coming from somewhere inside and it wasn't the motor. Milwaukee swapped it out for me, and there's a few others in this thread that reported the same.

The gen 2 blower is variable speed with the trigger, at least mine is.

I’m thinking I need a floodlight. I went and looked at the searchlight, but it’s not for me. Between the 2365-20 Rover and the 2361-20 floodlight, any opinions?

I think many in this thread have said the design of the 2365-20 is backwards-***, in regards to the hinge movement & placement. The 2361-20 roll cage is a great light, just don't have the mounting options. I think it depends on what you want to do with it. I was in the same boat before and ended up just sticking with my M12 flood. No light panel articulation, but mountable.

I held out as long as I could with a single 12v and single 18v platform. It just made things so much easier with battery/tool compatibility and especially with the dual voltage M12/M18 charger. The biggest issue with adding another platform is typically needing more than one or two batteries.

It came time to buy a track saw and I planned on buying the corded Makita (zero brand loyalty with corded tools). I didn't forsee ever needing it outside of my work area, so paying a $50 premium for cordless didn't make sense. When I went to pick up the order in store I was told there was a deal on the cordless that included two additional 5.0 batteries (total of four) and a bonus track section I planned on buying anyways. Well, ****.

It is nice starting out with four batteries giving me flexibility to add other tools in the system not available from Milwaukee. It would have been a lot nicer if Milwaukee made a cordless track saw though... Now we wait and see who comes out with a cordless compressor first.

Also, the charger... Holy ****. Is this really necessary? The Milwaukee is so much more compact and is very easily wall mountable out of the box.IMG_20190329_195406.jpeg

I have both and don’t like the 2365. I much prefer the 2361. I have many Milwaukee lights. 2114 is a great little light but battery life is limited. Would like to try the M12 tower light — I have 2 of the bigger ones.

JettaGetUpandGo one thing you will find you like about the Makita charger is that it will charge both batteries simultaneously as apposed to charging one to done then the other like the Milwaukee. With those 4 batteries you wont ever need a cord if you have that charger. I love my Makita track saw.

I had to order online and pick up on the store for the $79 price. they were marked $99 in the store. ran out and got one based on the response here. I a m sure it will come in handy. Now someone help me spend my money with a deal on the hedge trimmer and a gen 1 blower. Is April 1 a day when special deals begin?

The store may just have the wrong tag on display. Search light is $79 in few stores around me. Why the gen 1 blower? Gen 2 is smaller, I’d go with that if i could (i have the gen 1, still nice). Dunno if you’ll find a blowed / hedge trimmer deal (unless ive missed something). Usually those are made separate options to pair along with the first string trimmers.. hmm.. i could use a hedge trimmer maybe..

I have the gen 1, would like one for my rear storage shed as well to replace the older Worx I use out there. I like the full on switch of the gen 1. The hedge trimmer is also going to replace my older Worx hedge trimmer. I found them both on CPO reconditioned. Never bought a second item before but might just give it a go.

Thanks to you guys I'm a pound owner of the search light, of course it's light out but seems bright enough. Was $79 at my HD, must be a good demand as there's only 1 left after I got mine.

I did notice this as everything charged up last night. With the tool using two at once charging both at the same time makes sense. I just wish it wasn't so massive. It's doubtful that I will ever drain a full set over the course of a project.

Even with two people and an outfeed support a contractor table saw wasn't cutting it for 4x8 sheets. So happy to skip the step of cutting them roughly to size with a circular saw then the table saw. Better accuracy, less waste, and the ability to cut them myself is a huge win.

Hey Guys, got a question for you. I have a M12 fuel hammer drill. It is more than a few years old, think it is the first generation, bought it the same time I got the fuel impact. Last couple times I used it it has shut off when drilling, like it is over torquing but it is doing it too soon, if I have it in hammer mode it shuts off as soon as it hammers. Does this with any battery I put in it. It has maybe 10% of the use I have put the impact through. I am pretty sure it is out of warranty. Any idea which part is going bad? I would like to repair it myself.
Thanks

Before saying it's out of warranty, you should check. Based on the serial #, you can see when the 5 year warranty started. The first two # indicate the year, then next two I believe are the week it was made. A lot of people are surprised to find their tools are still covered.

Thanks, was a good idea, though unfortunately first two are 13, so expired last year.

Think it might be the switch circuitry?

Any rumors for a Romex Stapler? Used a Dewalt one(demo) at a wholesale house, pretty sweet but I'm not buying another battery line

All I've had to do is show the online price and they match it without issue, it's stupid that they don't always have the same price but not usually a big deal.

So I got to use the light last night and was a little disappointed that the flood setting wasn't a little brighter but was pretty good, spotlight definitely throws some serious light and the combo was nice. In the words of my wife, yeah it's bright but I'm going inside so you can sit out here and play with your new toy.

Thanks for the heads up on the deal. Picked up the 3/8 ratchet for piddly stuff that doesnt require 130 ft pounds of the air ratchet. My first foray into Milwaukee tools.
