I'm looking at the sprayer, mainly for spraying weed killer on our gravel drive and fence line.

Is there a reason to buy the chemical sprayer over the concrete sprayer or vice versa?

The water tank has different seals (nitrile) and both the concrete sprayer and pesticide tanks have Viton seals. The key point is that nozzle tips will vary with each unit and of course the hose is much longer on the water supply tank, 10ft vs 4ft

With the concrete option you get a large dia. tip and a fan spray, Chem sprayer has a smaller dia. nozzel along with the fan.

Water tank has its own unique style spray tip

I just cleaned the vinyl siding on my entire 1-1/2 story house using my pump style SOLO backpack sprayer to apply a bleach/soap mixture, then a garden hose rinse. Poor mans pressure washer lol.

Was thinking the whole time how the Milwaukee unit would have made that job real nice :)

Though I would opt for tool only myself and I really don't find the pricing out of line on for Milwaukee, there obviously will always be something cheaper from another brand on the market) I do like the separate tanks and hoses for swapping different chems as I also farm and hate rinsing tanks to changeover. Tanks are $149 ea. but maybe play a good percentage discount sale and could probably save up to $30

I have more batteries that I know what to with sometimes :D They say its total overkill and really unneeded weight to want to use the bigger and heavy HO battery with these sprayers

All of the new tool storage & carts, which still are only in a few stores at HD just went up in price. Cart is $488!!, 40" bench $648, and the deep giant 56" combo is $1600.... if the prices weren't high enough already...

WTF Milwaukee. Now I have to wait for a deal on the 56" to just bring it back to the old price. That tool cart can go roll itself off a bridge, especially at just shy of $500. Harbor freight here I come (for a tool chest).

Over a year ago, I bought the Milwaukee rolling workbench and a Husky rolling workbench. Basically, their bottoms are tool boxes/drawers, butcher block tops, the Husky came with a pegboard back, the Milwaukee's top drawers were open, which I liked.

I don't use these daily, but if I did, I'd lean more towards the Milwaukee. The drawers slide smoother and there's less "clanking" going on when you open them. I wouldn't use either professionally, but the Milwaukee seems a bit better. I bought different boxes, because the drawer layout was better on the Husky for that purpose. No regrets and I just bought a Husky work table, but I wouldn't buy another Husky box.

BTW, these were fairly inexpensive, last Father's Day I think it was. Sales this year were fairly lame in comparison.

Yeah, I saw one of the new boxes at the front of the local HD yesterday and opened/closed one of the drawers...Milwaukee, you guys are smoking something over at HQ to arrive at some of the prices you are placing on many of your items.

Is it possible that replacement costs are playing a role, with Milwaukke. China tariffs, blah, blah? The sales this year was fairly weak and I'm wondering if future costs are their concern.

Why wouldn't you use the Milwaukee professionally? Just curious...

I don't know. If I was starting out again, I'd probably give it a go. I just feel like the drawers aren't sliding comparable to say a Snap-on. I hate to go there, and honestly have never owned a Snap-on box. I moved into another aspect of the business, before having to upgrade from my, yes, Craftsman box. I was using that and a MATCO top box.

I really like the Milwaukee box I'm using and would definitely consider another, perhaps even to replace this Husky at some point.

So the pumps are the same? A chem sprayer with the concrete tank would be the same as a concrete sprayer?

Yes the base unit contains the motor and battery and the speed dial pressure control, and each tank assembly once locked in place is driven with like a blender type of connection.

Pressure range will be the same on both concrete and chem tanks though the flow rate varies because the different nozzle sizing

And the water only tank doesn't achieve the higher pressure ratings because of the more open fan spray

COP TOOL lists various the specs here... https://www.coptool.com/milwaukee-m18-switch-tank-backpack-sprayer/

Workshop Addict video goes thru the motions how it works

Thanks for the info!

Just purchased a concrete kit for $273 on e-bay. Didn't need the kit piece but for that price....going to use the concrete tank for pesticide and get a chemical tank

Now to learn about the Teejet tips and see what is best

Here's a video from NPS about their battery tech. It's worth watching if you don't know much about how they work. But if you already have a good base of knowledge then it's mostly a waste of time.

If anyone would like to buy those Milwaukee moisture wicking t shirts, but cant bring themselves to drop $25 or $30 PER SHIRT, i wanna give you an alternative.. i have 2 of the first Milwaukee shirts, (1 grey, 1 lime). I just placed an order for 2 more of the high visibility shirts from HD online. Should be coming today, i think they are slightly different than the originals, or at least the logo was moved.. i never even realized the printed label inside the originals say Made is the USA, so ill check the new ones when they get here.

For the hell of it, i also bought 2 of these Hanes shirts from Amazon in the high visibility color. $14 for TWO of them, free one day shipping. So for those bad at math, its about 1/4 the price of the Milwaukee version. They are VERY similar to how the Milwaukee feels. Very thin, comfortable, fast wicking material (it’s polyester on the Hanes). You barely feel like you even have a shirt on. They are extremely comfortable and breathable. Stop wearing cotton t shirts if you work outside in the heat. Sizing is the same as any other Hanes shirts. Another great feature - you have 15 COLORS to pick from, even plain white. So far they seem great.

I saw this on YouTube last night. I sub to dirt monkey, i love his vids. Good video, worth watching..

If nothing else it answers the question for people that think Milwaukee didnt have any part in actual cell development for the tools.

For a brief moment I thought I'd be getting rid of mine too, but both have their advantages that are essentially the other's negative. Harder to trim smaller & more shapely shrubs with the extension, but obviously the extension gets difficult to reach spots easier, and I think it makes keeping longer cuts more in line.

I may get rid of the extension hedge trimmer, as I have limited use. I'm leaning towards getting a 2nd string trimmer attachment for the permanent blade modification previously posted.

Yeah the new one would be an ALL solution if you could run it without the shaft that comes attached to it, stubby articulating cutter.... My buddy is dying for my old model so not sure what to do. Couldnt pass up the $107 deal anyways.

Regarding the hedges...do you guys have any comparisons. I've got my 40V yellow in both short and pole (they were the only players on the market with good OPE)

I just got the quick lok as well - pole + string. I got it mainly for the string aspect. Have yet to put the shear to test

I have a few of these. they are pretty good. I think they are the same shirt. as I recall they were on the order of 4.95$ in store.

various prices per size. there are also several listings on Walmart.com. I searched for "Cooldri Tee". but it changed it to "Cool dri Tee".

For people that have the gen 2 m18 string trimmer, does the power head run smoothly for you or is there some vibration? Mine almost seems like something is out of balance in the motor and isn’t rotating perfectly. It also has a crunch like sound when you let off the power and let it run to a stop. Anyone else’s run like that or did I get a dud that needs to be replaced?

Same here, been meaning to post about the sound/vibration. It seems like its not all tight in there and crunchy.

Mine makes some noise. Not all the time. I notice it happening when is not at full rpm.
Dont think it's the motor. It's in the gearbox of the trimmer head. The motor is back by the battery,

I guess i spoke to soon on mine. I was doing some cutting the other day and it was smooth to start, but after a few minutes, after it was "hot" it started with a vibration/noise in the motor end. Almost like there was loose parts in there. Eventually it sounded like something broke and the motor became disconnected from shaft and it was just the motor spinning with no power to the head.

i realized the collar for the quick lock had vibrated loose and moved forward causing the shaft to disconnect from the motor. it looks like there is nothing that holds the shaft into the motor other than having a attachment fully seated into the quick lock coupler.

I pushed everything back in and tightened the coupler and now it works as it should again, but i now have the vibration/noise on the motor end when using it.

I exchanged mine at HD, but I haven't tried out the new one yet. Quite frankly, if the second one does this, I'm going to stick with my gas trimmer.

Uh WTF that shouldnt happen, is this thing another fudged design. I have only used mine twice, will pay attention this weekend when I use it again.

I have every piece for the new system, I will be pissed if theres a non-compatible fixed V2 system in the spring :lol_hitti

Dacan - even the edger ;-)
Heh, I really wanted the edger but I figuered I'd put the tool through it's paces which has not been much (we have a guy mows for us) so I'm mainly using the stringer for touch ups

Oops, forgot they had the edger, so guess not all, no need for the edger. Wacker, pole saw, articulating hedger, extension.

That shouldn't be a big deal, the screw that tightens the coupler to the tube must not have been torqued tight enough. There really isn't anything in there that should go bad if that happened, it's only a solid shaft that is held in with that coupler.

What noises are you guys hearing? When you are only holding the power head with no attachment, there should be a slight noise when the motor comes to a stop. This is only the "cogging" effect from the brushless motor coming to a stop.
