I ran into the tool rep there and i have talked to him several times before. I had my boys with me and he was like if you buy it now and let him take a picture of my boys with the tools he would knock 20 bucks off so i got the surge, the batteries, the charger and a free extra battery for $179

We were told we will never get Fios. Cell service is sketchy for anything other than verizon. The issue here is lack of population... they won't invest if there are only a few to buy.
I'm two miles north east of the middle of nowhere.
Plenty is available ten miles north, or south for that matter.
I'm actually near the bombing range. My house is on the edge of the eastern turn around for the F16s.

Yea no idea where that it is. if there was existing FIOS within like 1000 or 2000’ feet of your home, (might not be much down by you), you could prob still get it if theres a pole line feeding your house.

The price of the hoodies has always been pretty stable, I haven't paid as much attention to the jackets. Though apparently there was a promo for a free hand warmer with them last year, not sure when that hit.

Confirmed - Jersey Shore getting a big 5G build. Only 2 areas not being covered - one is "uninhabited" (forgot the area) - the other is Brigantine by Atlantic City.
Philly is in the process now.

Usually there is a promo early in the season Sept-Oct, then nothing prime season, and then price cuts & possible more promos at the end of the season.
Re: FIOS/5G. I absolutely loved FIOS/4G when I had them through Verizon. But when they sold the network to Frontier it went downhill very fast. Not only did the service suffer (outages etc. and longer lead times for repair), but the sales and renewal people were downright sketchy.
I came up for renewal about 4 months after the switch to Frontier. The renewal people basically promised same service, uptick in Up/Down speed, etc for a 6% increase, which I would live with. Got that first bill and it was up nearly 30%. So I called, and even gave names of everyone I spoke to, and they just denied we ever had the conversation. So I canceled and they tried to hit me with serious termination fees. After threatening to sue and a dozen phone calls they agreed to waive the termination fees. But then they "forgot" to cancel the internet service, but canceled the cable and phone. In the meantime I had switched to my cable company triple bundle. Frontier tried to make me pay for the internet for an extra month, and then tried to hit me with a termination fee when I called to tell them they screwed up. Another half dozen calls and finally I was free of them. But I got a lot of gray hairs from that company.
I know this was way off topic. But anytime I hear the word FIOS, my blood boils...
Oh, I did receive my new Heated Hoodie yesterday. Size runs as expected. I would not say it runs big or small. I got the red one. Can't wait to try it out this winter.

I have a few PowerExtra Makita 18v batteries that work as good as the OEM ones...

It depends on what your looking for. Gen 2 has more raw power for the bigger stuff. The surge is noticeably quieter. Both have similar performance driving normal screws. If it’s your only impact then I would lean towards gen 2. If you have something you can pull out for heavy duty stuff then I would lean towards the surge. VCGconstruction did a long head to head on YouTube if you want to watch that.

These days, a 12 volt impact remove lug nuts without any problem - assuming the person who installed them wasn't laughing while using his 1/2" pneumatic impact.
My gen 1 m18 fuel impact driver actually removed an axle nut off my old Honda. 1/4" hex 1/2" square adapter - to what - a 43mm socket?
I'm not claiming thats normal, or 'MY' impact is a freak of nature - all I can tell u is it did it - one time. That was before I had any Milwaukee impact wrenches. Now I have 4 of them I think.

Problem I have had with them is the clips break after a few months.
I had gotten 2 freebie generics, cant remember the "brand" and gave to a biddy, they died in a month.
I dont recommend generics to anyone. But then again I get real batteries so cheap.

Yea I have a couple of the cheap ones. It's hard to pass up even if they aren't as good. The bottoms are loose on the ones I have. I'm debating on sucking it up and getting the real m12 3.0 for the winter.

Picked up the two 2760-20 Fuel surge 1/4 impacts with the new 3.0 batteries. Really happy with how quiet the impacts are.

Every time I get gift cards I wind up throwing them in a drawer somewhere. I wound up with $1,100 in gift cards. Spent $400 on that bissel carpet cleaner, the same model they rent - so I don't have to rent it anymore, got some set aside for an exhaust for my truck, and a couple I'm just 'looking' to use up. ( New heated jacket maybe? Lol)
Not sure if anyone has bothered trying to upgrade the cells on a aftermarket pack. At $10/$12 a pack I don't think it's worth it. It negates the reason for not buying a genuine m12 pack to begin with. Im sure u could do it though. Really, how hard could it be. I think the only risk is actually not winding up with counterfeit cells after ordering them online.

I know the packs a very different but I have had zero issues with the Makita ones. I have had them for several years now.
I got the Milwaukee ones last night. They came about 3/4 charged according to the gauge on the tools. Both seem to work just fine in a couple different tools, just squeezing the triggers and using a work light. I popped them on the charger and they did take a little while to fully charge. No idea if they are actually 6.0Ah packs and I don't really care that much, they are bigger then the original packs and one of them is going bad. I just use the stuff around the house and garage...

Even if you just use em for the lights - they are worth having.. ive had my powerextra for a while now. I dont use them a lot at home in tools these days - barely even.. but it still works fine.
Actually they get used mostly in the power source. Makes a great charger for this stupid e cigarette i hooked myself on because I’m retarded.

Just got the m18 fuel hackzall today and used it for about 30-40 cuts already in the backyard for cutting up small diameter (2-5") branches to make them into firewood. I'm impressed, the one handed use is a big perk for me. It's well balanced with the 5.0 battery and moves the blade pretty quick for the size.
My 15A corded sawzall still has more beans, but for small projects around the house/yard this thing is awesome. I love it and will get tons of use out of it!

Has anyone purchased or tried out the M18 chain saw ?
You can find reviews if it here with some searching. I bought one. Cut down about 6 trees ranging from 4 to 16” diameter, limbed and sectioned on one 12ah battery. I was impressed. My needs are limited and very occasional. This is not the saw for cutting down massive trees or working all day. Seems pretty good to me, for my use, though. Still needs oil for the bar and chain.

I have it and like it for hard wood up to about 12" diameter. I got it many months ago when it was $300 w/ 1 battery or $400 w/ 2 batteries. If I could, I'd go back in time and buy 5 kits to resell the extras.
It has plenty of beans to go through 14" of soft wood, but hard sustained cutting of course drains the battery quick or at least heats it up. Anything no larger than a CD is cake, that's for sure. Over the course of a few days, I felled and bucked 8 small pines that were between 8 and 16" diameter.
I only had a single 12.0 at the time, but used a 9.0 for the small branches.The current best deal I've seen lately is $450 for saw kit w/ 1 battery and the Gen 2 Blower. Could sell the blower for $100+.
