No, can charge one or the other, not both at the same time.
The Easy Load trimmer head is fixed. The spring was missing and I think it may have already been gone when I bought the refurbished unit last year. In any case, i replaced it with half of a spring from a broken pop-up sprinkler and it is working perfectly. Thanks for the help all.

Apologies if this has been discussed before ...
In the video for the new breaker I spot what initially thought was a hilti vac...but then after a few frames it appears to me Milwaukee branded. I know a few threads exist about this style of vacuum but maybe this one has some unique features.. I just took this screen capture

Wait, the dust vac is chorded? And they are trying to sell it to be used with a chordless jack hammer. Am I missing something here?

In other news I just received the 2485 RA die grinder and man the ergonomics aren't great. The barrel handle is huge and that almost means ya gotta give it the reach around to flip the safety and squeeze the paddle.
I haven't actually USED the die grinder yet so hopefully in practice it's not as bad as it seems...
Man they finally ticked all the boxes there, that's awesome

Not at all! You will obviously buy the cordless generator with the jack hammer so you can plug in the vac [emoji23]

I've had mine for a couple weeks. It's definitely a lot fatter than the grip on the pneumatic RADG I used to have when I had compressor access. My hand are on the larger side so it's tolerable. For me, the decreased grip ergonomics are offset by the hose-less freedom. If my hands were smaller I'd probably feel differently.
I don't have large hands & I'm still happy with them for the reason you mentioned. No more having to mess with a hose or listen to my loud *** air compressor in my garage. My air die grinders were the last of my air tools that I had not retired yet. But I do hate the grip size on M12 tools so I buy M18 whenever possible.

That's pretty much true of most all M12 tools IMO. Can't make the handle smaller because of the battery. It's the main reason I don't like to buy M12 tools, they feel too fat for me.
Only M12 tools I own are the die grinders & ratchet cause no other choice. Everything else I have is M18.
I don't follow Makita, but I saw they have a 18v tire inflator....
Any news on Milwaukee making one?.... I can't believe they're so far behind the curve on this... Ryobi has had one for years.
I have the M12. And I don't want that to gallon M18 air compressor just for filling up tires on yard equipment, trailers, etc.
AGREED! I just want an M18 inflator. Not an M12. Not a compressor with a tank. Just an M18 inflator.

Yeah I figured immediately that was their reasoning but not sure I buy it. Once the batt ends there's just wires in that handle, I feel they could have stepped it down a little. Granted, not sure how ergonomic that'd be either.... without trying it.

Got the 2623-20 milwaukee power planer at Home Depot for $100.00 just now.
On sunday I had to cut down a 10ft piece if 2in OD steel pipe in my shed. It was incredibly satisfying to grab my M12 hackzall and RA die grinder from my toolbox, walk 100ft to the shed and be able to cut and debur it in the time it would have taken a compressor to pump up.![]()
Oh yeah? How so? I want one as well.
You are forgetting the electrical switch and the entire motor that has to fit in the handle also.
I suppose an M18 powered inflator could be made a lot larger to get a quicker fill up, but not seeing one in new patents here. I just did all 4 tires on dual axle trailer with the M12 Monday before I went to use it for the first time since it was parked over the winter when I needed to haul the JD 4320 tractor offsite to till a large garden plot.
Went from 34/35psi to 50 on all 4. It does about 2 lbs a minute or so but @ a 15psi add per tire about 7 min each and then X 4 well took almost 30 minutes
What I am seeing though is a 4 battery M18 power station and a M12 Fuel Pass Thru ratchet a Coil Nailer and small pinner among a few other things like Pullout PackOut boxes. Good gawd ALL that pack out stuff
Possibly for certain tools but the only M12 tools I own are the 2 die grinders & the fuel ratchet. The grip is right over the battery compartment so can't slim down unless they change the battery size which obviously is not gonna happen
Again, perhaps on certain tools. Most tools the switch & control board is there and not much room. Even if they could slim down in that area it doesn't make sense to me for ergonomics. Generally you want the bottom slimmer for your ring & pinkie fingers as they are shorter than your middle & index fingers. That is how most grips are. That's just my opionion.I said step down. There would be a STEP where the battery ends. The trigger would have to contour, too, presumably. The idea FOR ME would be to reduce the diameter where your index and middle finger squeeze the trigger. As I said, I dunno how exactly this would feel in use but apparently no one is thinking outside the box -- I'm merely entertaining design ideas.
