I saw what you did with the fan... I was SOOO tempted to do that. BUT... I knew I was getting a 3D printer for my birthday... Creality CR10 V3... I have a few upgrades on it... it lists for $450ish... I think I have about $100 in upgrades. It prints great. You can get a decent one for $250 (Creality Ender 3, has many flavors)

Thanks Mr Pines for the recommendation. Yup, I've had my eye on the Ender 3. I know most people say the Prusa is much better but I don't want to spend that kind of money on one, I think.

Agree on the Prusa... I seriously ****-ized which one to buy... the CR10 V3 had nearly 100% of the upgrades I would have made to an Ender 3... plus it's got a bigger print bed. Best of luck... !!!

On Topic to this thread:

I have printed multiple M12 battery covers... along with the M18 Fan wart bracket. It's one of the main things I wanted to print !!!

As I was just thinking about the cutoff saw today, I wonder how well the MX line has sold/been selling ......
TTI released results for H1 2021 earlier today, which included the following on Milwaukee:

"Our flagship Milwaukee business delivered an astounding 64.1% growth globally in the first half of 2021. This record growth was propelled by a wave of innovative new product launches, combined with our focus on end user conversions and strong commercial execution. The growth momentum of this business has never been stronger, and we are excited to bring a continuous stream of new product innovations to market in the second half and beyond.

We expanded our MILWAUKEE M18 and M12 cordless leadership platforms with exciting new-to-world and next-generation products in the first half. With the addition of the M18 FUEL Small Angle Grinder, Rivet Tool, and SAWZALL reciprocating saw with ONE-KEY, the M18 platform now contains 216 products. We also expanded the M12 system’s leadership position in the sub-compact market to 129 tools with the addition of the 23 Gage Pin Nailer, High-Speed Tire Buffer and Underbody Light.

The breakthrough MILWAUKEE MX FUEL Equipment system continues to convert industrial users to our clean cordless technology from traditional gas, pneumatic and corded power sources. With the introduction of the MX FUEL Concrete ********, this platform now contains 11 products focused on the multi-billion-dollar light equipment segment.

We are rapidly expanding the MILWAUKEE Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) range with the addition of 102 new innovative products. Our recently launched Made-In-USA hardhats and safety helmets offer increased comfort, protection, and functionality with the MILWAUKEE BOLT system accessory slots. PPE is an important strategic focus, and we will continue to expand our innovative solutions that help users stay safe and productive on the jobsite."

I expect the investor presentation and transcript will be made available tomorrow.

Here's SBD's view of the competitive landscape:

"I'd love to hear your opinion on that, Eric. But market share in terms of progress, are you talking about products? Are you talking about competitors? All of the above? I mean, clearly, there's a very intense battle going on between us and TTI. TTI has picked an exclusive strategy in the home centers with one player as well as a kind of commercial and industrial strategy, predicated on a lot of feet on the street and lot of investment in sales and marketing resources in that regard. Brand to brand, I'd say when you look at the 2 brands, DEWALT and MILWAUKEE, we believe DEWALT is a stronger brand, but not by that much. When we look at CRAFTSMAN and RYOBI, we think that CRAFTSMAN is a far stronger brand than RYOBI, and that's based on actual research.

So that's kind of the setup there. Globally, TTI is making some progress, making some investments around the world, but it's largely focused historically on North America and on Australia, New Zealand. So that's kind of the stage there. The interaction with retailers, I think the retailers are as optimistic as we are about the future. And I think they would love to have more inventory yesterday. And we keep getting that -- those reminders as we operate our factory system at full bore. And we're adding capacity. We're adding several plants this year, and that will help. We're also working on making sure that we're looking out far enough on all components that we need in expediting components all around the world to make sure that we can serve their needs from a supply chain perspective and continue to gain share. So interaction with retailers is great. It's intense. People are kind of really seeking more product, and we're doing everything we can to do that, meet their needs."

Needed some 6" flat bar today and didn't have time to go to steel yard. Had some 3/16" plate out back so ripped a 4' length. Worked fine.

Also I can tell you the M18 compressor will air four 37's from 12 to 28psi but it's slow and will trip the thermal if you try for a fifth tire.....all in all not a great OBA option

The m18 metal cutting circular saw is a beast. I've said this elsewhere but I was cutting the flange (.300") off some W beam and I mismarked one of my cuts so I ended up making about a 6" long full depth cut along the web (about 1.5" deep) before I thought "huh, this seems to be cutting a little slower than usual" and stopped to check my cut.

When using a straight edge, I can make cuts that look better than they come from the metal shop (sheared?).

Who's got a Milwaukee Miter Saw. I have a Fesfool already and I sold my beater Makita to get some shelving space back.
Leaning on buying another beater...the M18 Miter.

Long term feedback from any owners here ?

I have the 12” slider. I really like the larger cut I think 14” compared to my older DeWalt slider. Obviously the battery versatility is awesome as well. It is bulky compared to my DeWalt but lighter if that makes sense. Dust collection is pretty good for a jobsite chopsaw. The shadow line for cutting works way better then a laser sight in my opinion. I have found that you will need to dial in the angle settings and use the lock when cutting on the angles as there is a little slop in the detents. Overall I really like it. I would recommend the 10” as the one slider bar had way too much movement for my taste.

So TTI released a finger sander from Ryobi. I haven't seen this before.

Think a red version is coming eventually?
You could already have one by modifying the 3in compact cutoff tool.

I planned on doing that until I found out the M12 cutoff tool doesn't have variable speed. If it had at least a variable speed trigger I would have. I'll just keep waiting with hope that MW will eventually come out with one. If not I'll consider getting the Ryobi or Makita with a batt adapter.

They will probably come out with a gen 2 3" cutoff that has variable speed before they come out with one of the finger sanders. If I had a need for a finger sander like that, I'd already have one. Also I'm showing as much restraint as I can with tool purchases right now as I'm about to move to a new place in the next 6-12 weeks. Trying to save money and not accumulate more stuff before I move....

I have several but the most recent and current favorite is the M12 Impact wrench (1/2") that claims to have 250 ft# torque capacity.
I use the M12 driver/drill all the time, the flood lamp quite a bit, the M12 dremel type grinder/cutter occasionally and the corded sawzall and 1/2" corded drill almost never. The sawzall vibrations make my hands numb.

I saw at the top of this page a mower is finally getting released. Anyone seen any other info on it? I found just the most basic of specs and that it is a 2022 release. My gas mower is old and raggedy but still works so I'm not in a huge hurry for a new one. Anyone else worried about a gen 1 curse on that thing?

I am 1000% afraid of Gen1 dud or missed expectations. I need to see the thing in action before I would ditch my Makita mower. If it isnt 18x2 I dont see how it will have what I expect from Milwaukee, I dont care if they make a 15a or 20a battery. Will it require HO batteries to perform 100%, probably. If it really disappoints me I am going to begin questioning my loyalty to a company that is last to the game in the mower segment. All my money is going to G&A these days anyways....

If it is anything like the rest of the latest Milwaukee offerings, it'll hit the thermal cutoff way before battery capacity becomes an issue.

Was at HD today, somehow I came home with the M12 Rover pivoting light. I've got the M12 & M18 stick lights as well a couple of the USB Rover lights so I certainly didn't need this. I rarely use the M12 stick light but this one I like & will definitely be using this one often.

Are you me? I literally just picked one of these up on a whim at HD a few days ago. I like it so far, at least the magnet is much better than the Rover USB stick light, and I like that you can just stick a big 6AH in it, the battery life on the USB stick light doesn't impress me.

I was on the release pre-order for this thing, and I've really enjoyed it. It doesn't fit everywhere I'd like (would be cool if the magnet was an arm that could flip out and rotate), but boy does it fit a lot of places.

I'm six lights deep on the M12 platform. This one has replaced my M12 stick light as my favorite go-to light. Glad the magnet is built in in and not the overpriced accessory (49-24-2351) that is a must buy to make the M12 stick most useful.
