It has a 150 PSI max vs the M12 120 PSI max. I'm not going to run out and buy one but on the off chance one of my m12 inflators takes a dive, I'll replace it with one of these m18 units. I like the fact that it has presets. Nothing else about it is calling to me to upgrade from my m12 inflator. Not that I care but, in before someone else complains it isn't packout compatible lol.

I see HD (and most other retailers) have increased the price of the M12 lantern (mod # 2362-20). Was $49 as late as last Oct but increased to $69. What a load of **** as its an older tool. They raised the price of the inflators from $79 to $99. Was wanting to pick up a lantern for my son but Im seeing everyone including evilbay is at $69.

New m18 inflator.

Will be picking one of these up to replace my m12.
Is this the year they release everything they should of made 3-5 years ago?

Derek, your track saw is next, but like I said its gonna be M18x2 lol

$170 for the M18 inflator is pretty steep. I have the M18 compressor and when I have a full flat tire or remember first that I hate the M12 I grab it. I have 2 M12s and the M18 compressor, I can't see getting one unless like Rusty an M12 dies. Would have to be a deal that puts it max at $100.

If you don't mind the size and weight the M18 compressor is better value compared to this thing. I got it because of the amount of pool toys always blowing up, sometimes use the original M18 blower. I also used the M18 compressor to blow out my pool lines for winterization, took a while but did the job.

The lantern and inflator have been going up and down in price constantly depending on the time of year and what promos are running. Also almost all the tool prices have gone up due to tariffs and such. I'm willing to bet if you wait, you'll be able to score the inflator back at the lower price or get it for $99 but with a free battery.

I already bought him the inflator but want to get him the lantern. I just bought one for myself in Oct at $49 and like it a bunch. On a side note I just bought m12 battery kit on evilbay today.......2 of the 6.0 batteries plus a charger for $119.90 + tax. New in factory packaging.

Just realized the m18 inflator isn't fuel. Wtf.

I am definitely going with the compressor as soon as I come across a good deal.

I really like the compressor and while the price is scary perhaps it can still be had under $300 on deals. When I got it I ran a side by side test compared to my last owned small corded HF pancake of same capacity. Fired them up at the same time and the M18 filled completely in about half the time, sold the HF immediately.

My only serious gripe about the compressor is the feet are on bottom, when they should be on the side. The handle is on one side, the feet should be on the other, I have been meaning to drill and mount some feet. I never use it flat as they designed it.

You got me sold! I think I can get over the feet and it not being packout convertible. Swear some Milwaukee addicts on here are probably trying to make some sort of Milwaukee voltron/megazord. Please post pics when you do.

Can anyone get the Ace Hardware site to function correctly?!? Someone posted this on deals which includes the compressor conveniently:

It's packout compatible, sort of..... How about the $18 packout crate divider, crate is now $50 ouch. Or the $40 packout hard carrier basket thing, which mounts to the coming soon packout ladder.

Ouch $40 for a basket. Luckily my addiction doesn't extend to packouts and most of the hand tools yet.

Yeah, all the new crazy packout pieces are getting out of hand. I was suckered in from day 0. Like ratchets, vacuums, and lights, I probably have the most packout pieces on GJ. Since I stopped my side hustle and there aren't packout + tool deals, luckily I have slowed down.

Thing that makes this attractive is it fits inside many of the boxes. Should of done this in the first place versus the useless things that came in the original boxes. Problem is I hate all the dividers in any packout piece, especially the drawers.

I will never ever get the crate divider, seems like it would make you waste more space than its helpfulness. Plus at $18 I could surely make something better at a fraction of the cost. Says it helps support half width pieces, uh half pieces fit fine on the crate without it. If that was true then they should give them away for free since their typical crappy not thought out design creates an incompatibility.

The thing that really kills me with the packout is the newer drawer packout boxes. That is really what I needed in the first place but I bought a bunch of the chest pack out stuff when it first came out. If the drawers ever go on sale I'll get some but I'm done buying anymore packout for now. Also some of the accessory prices like the divider really are just crazy considering they are just injection molded plastic with really simple molds.

Yeah I feel like every piece released in the 5-6 years is suckering us in. Oooo look at this new piece, its not exactly what you want but closest your gonna get. Best mod I ever did was combining two dividers to a 4 way for the slim org cups. I still like the bags and totes, especially considering I paid half what they cost today. My collection would look a hell lot different if it didn't take them so long to release new pieces.

Original organizer, then slim, then deep.

Rolling box, dolly, hand cart, jumbo roller.

The horizontal wall mount with the drawers is the solution I really wanted but I ended up buying the crates with the vertical wall mount before the other stuff came out. It worked well enough but now that I moved, it isn't working so great with my new setup. I think I'm going to sell off like 1/2 or more of my packout. I want to keep a small setup for going to the junkyards.

Knock off power supply for $70. Dual battery which is cool. 150w though vs Milwaukee's 175w output. Already have the Milwaukee, but this has my interest. Wonder what the USB-C output wattage is.

Modified sine wave output, I'm not a fan. I try not to use anything with a modified/digital sine wave output. It is a lot cheaper but most of your electronics don't really like it. It costs more to rectify to a true sine wave but I spend the money for it most of the time.

Good point. Probably good enough for non electronic stuff/low draw stuff which then really limits the product's appeal.

Looking some some help, last night the digital lock on my Milwaukee 56" high capacity tool box broke,,,, the knob you turn after entering the 4 digit code just spins now. Luckily my tool box was in the open position and not locked.

Have any of you fellow addicts had any issues with your lock/knob?

Milwuakee says the digital lock is back ordered until May 1st.

I have not even seen a link online anywhere to buy the lock on my own new or used.....

Yes, its still under warranty…. Didn’t think it would be 2 months before I could get the part/lock…. I don’t need any tools walking away in the meantime….

If you need to lock stuff up to keep it safe, I'm sure you can retrofit something in there temporarily. Can you post some pics of the front/back and how the lock attaches to the bars/locking mechanism?

Maybe they wanted to push off the first tool curse and get data from the budget brand first?

Why does TTI think Ryobi addicts are more worthy than Milwaukee addicts?

fast forward to 3:40.
Its more like the Ryobi employees like to make Milwaukee look like a joke. The amount of new and cool things Ryobi has released in the last 3-4 years should embarrass Milwaukee, not comparing quality or anything but Ryobi's OPE for example makes Milwaukee's offerings look like a no name brand. They even beat to market Dewalt on some items. I wish they would start making the pool vac again. The last Ryobi tool I had and took a while to part with was the corner cat sander, I bought that thing 15yrs ago, finally Milwaukee came out with that M18 sander few years ago, still not what I wanted. Inflator is another great example, Ryobi had 2 different 18v tire inflators before Milwaukee had any, and what to they give us first the crappy M12 and 4 years later the M18, they are a$$ backwards. There are many Ryobi tools I have considered buying, if I gave in I might never buy another Milwaukee and just keep adding neon green new releases.

Dacan, after you broke enough Ryobi tools simply by using them, you'd go back to big red. I don't hate Ryobi, I actually do like some of their tools but they just aren't built to take the kind of abuse a Milwaukee can take.

Derek, holy **** man.... #ShopEnvy

Love that fab table.

My strategy has been to buy Ryobi for things that are more "gadgets" than tools. For example, I have the inflator, spotlight, buffer, fan, and glue gun. I also have just one tool, the portaband. These were all purchased very inexpensively and are used only occasionally. This is where Ryobi shines, IMO. My main tool brands either don't make gadgets like these, or they are much more expensive.

I splash out the cash when I need real tools that need to perform often and/or very precisely: track saw, ProPex expander, vacuums, routers, saws, drivers, etc.

Take the pluge into the Ryobi ecosystem and pick up a few useful gadgets. I don't think you'll regret it.

Decided to try something and it worked.

… plus this:

… equals the smallest-headed long neck 3/8” battery ratchet on the market, with zero modifications needed. The “tall shift knob” assembly intended for the new high speed 3/8” ratchet is a direct fit:

I went with the “tall” shift knob because I love how easy it makes operating the switch, especially with gloves:

It’s not as fast as my Snap-on CTR717 1/4” long neck (250 RPM vs the Snap-on’s 350) but it’s a little stronger, and that’s why I wanted to try to convert it into my long neck 3/8” ratchet. Pretty happy with the result.

Cool. That means the regular high speed anvil is a direct swap as well.

Am afraid of making a list of Ryobi tools that I would want in red versions. Clearly the red premium pricing doesn't scare us here either like addicts looking to buy good drugs.

Sweeper
Glue gun
Soldering station
lopper
power scrubber
track saw

A couple new Milwaukee’s, l have to say Milwaukee wins in the cordless bandsaw battle. I bought a dewalt, used it once and returned it. The multitool is ok, i like the dewalt one better but it was right next to the bandsaw.

They better win the bandsaw battle, they only have 15 different flavors to choose from 🤣

You gotta try the M18 Fuel multitool…it’s incredible

I have been using that same OMT a lot recently, despite having other versions, and it will works great even though its an older model.

Oh come on the number of bandsaw models isn't as bad as ratchets or impacts...

I haven't even took my M18 Fuel OMT out of the box I got last month. I haven't even used the M12 Fuel OMT I got a year ago. I am still using the non-Fuel ones until I stop being lazy and sell them. My buddies are always raving how good the Fuel ones are, I am ashamed, its ok to throw stones at me.
What’s the verdict on the M18 chainsaw?
Honestly I have had it 2 years and only used once, to cut down some neighbors 8ft arbors that made backing his trailer into the driveway difficult. For a battery saw it worked good. Just wish like many other chainsaws, why do they all have to leak bar oil when stored, leaked all over a packout stack.

I was looking at the hatchet again yesterday as I think theres a promo coming at HD, they had a ton of them. Never wanted the hatchet as I have gas & battery chainsaws, M18 pole saw, and every imaginable recip saw.... but not I have a dozen fruit trees in the back yard to prune every year where I see the hatchet being a star.
