That Milwaukee compressor will drive an air hammer?

Mike
High flow blow guns can outrun my 30 gallon pretty easily so thinking the bigger hammers are definitely a no go. It might give my .498 aircat 2 seconds of good hitting which I'll try one day, but am really planning to use it with my short barrel .401 tuned down to 30 psi with a shake and break to attack some stubborn deck screws.

Very disappointed with the blower, really thought it would have more power, exchanged for another one & the same. Bought the dewalt 60 volt no comparison. Gave the milwaukee to my wife, it's ok for little stuff.
Interesting, I love mine. Never had an issue. If I ever wanted more power I’d just end up getting a Stihl

I have a Stihl blower and I haven't started it at all since I got the M18 blower.

It's all about managing expectations. I had a hand held Stihl blower, but just far too many leaves. Now have a back pack blower, which is perfect for the leaves. But it isn't ideal for small jobs like blowing out the garage, or nuisance leaf piles by entry ways, or drying cars. That is where my M18 Blower steps in.

If someone expects an 18V tool to perform the same as a 60V tool, well....they have to manage their expectations.

Right. As I may have mentioned earlier, I have a B&D battery-powered blower, used it after cutting the lawn, mainly to clear off the tractor (I'm pretty good about minimizing how much grass gets on the pavement).

That was perfect, got about 10-15 minutes out of a battery. Eventually, those batteries died, and I made the change to Milwaukee M18, but have been using my Echo backpack blower for the tractor cleaning. The power of that thing is incredible.

I will probably get an M18 blower eventually for all the reasons mentioned (by others) above.

(One good thing about using the backpack blower is that it forces me to use it more frequently, which can only be a good thing for a gas engine.)

There's at least one video with an RC jet engine mounted to a pole and a throttle... that thing will clear some leaves up right quick.😁

The guy running it could barely stand up.

I don't know how I feel about a Milwaukee packout cooler. Is Milwaukee a lifestyle brand now? Do I have what it takes to live a Milwaukee tool kind of life?
If you are wearing a Milwaukee baseball hat or hard hat and a Milwaukee face mask with Milwaukee safety glasses plus a Milwaukee t-shirt under your Milwaukee hoodie while sitting on your Milwaukee stool drinking your fav beverage in a Milwaukee koozie which may of been opened with the Milwaukee bottle opener on top of the Milwaukee floor mat... then the cooler is a MUST!

The mat is in my future but not the stool so unfortunately I will be 1 item short....

If it doesn't use or charge a battery, it's fluff.

Now, if V2 of the stool comes with a built-in M18 charger, or an M18-powered radio or set of Bluetooth speakers, I'm all in...

More likely to get M12 powered massaging seat cushion, and it won't even be Fuel and yet double the price.

I recently purchased the M12 polisher to work on smaller areas of my boat that the M18 polisher is too big for. Can anyone recommend a good source for 3” pads to go with it? The Milwaukee ones are $35 for a 5 pack, but I see all kinds of less expensive sets on Amazon for under $20. Are any of these cheap sets decent?

Amazon pad set

I also saw the Griot’s Garage 3” orange or black pads for $14-17 per 3 pack.

The product you have always dreamed about is shipping soon.....:shocking:

I really need to stop reading the Mower reviews on the HD page, right now my gauge says its 80-90% what was promised. Definitely want two free 12s for $1000.

I'd like them to come out with a bikini so I can slap one on my girlfriend the next time we are at the beach. She is already hot but a nice 2 piece with a surge impact hanging off the tool loop can only make things better =)
You can prolly already find it, thought my buddy had a Milwaukee speedo, it wasn't official but still.

Nope. If it doesn't use a battery to keep it cold, it's just fluff with red paint..

Um, thanks(?) for putting that image in my head...

I never thought they would go double battery but now that they have, the portable saws seem like a good next logical step.

What's everyone's thoughts on the Fuel vs Regular Ratchets?

I LOVE my 3/8" Fuel M12 ratchet and would like to get myself a 1/4" as well. But, after looking at them it appears that the 1/4" and 3/8" may be the same unit just with a different drive size. I don't think a 1/4" drive ratchet that's just as big as my 3/8" one really provides any additional use for me but I think a smaller tool could be beneficial. So, I'm thinking of getting the non-Fuel version instead because it looks considerably smaller. Just not sure there there are other downsides I should be concerned with.

1st gen Fuel ratchets were too big, too heavy, and too slow. Milwaukee solved those problems with the new high speed models. The new 3/8" Fuel high speed ratchet has the same head size as the 1/4", and actually uses the same anvil assembly between the two (I've successfully swapped a 1/4" anvil assembly into a 3/8" model). There were some comparison pics a while back in this thread between the new high speed ratchet and the "OG" non-fuel ratchet if you're interested in that, but there's no way I'd be shopping for a non-Fuel ratchet now - the high speed ratchets are just superior in every way. You can also find the new ratchets pretty cheap with a little deal hunting. You can "hack" a new 1/4" or 3/8” ratchet from HD for about $126 right now with the "buy more save more" promo they're running.

I have the original 1/4" fuel ratchet and the head is much smaller than the 3/8".

It figures that I held off buying a ratchet because of the speed for so long that they would come out with a high speed less than a year later lol.

If your most interested in speed the Fuel 1/4 high speed or the original 1/4. The regular Fuel 1/4 is only good if you want breakaway power.

I have every single one except the 1/2 extended. Haven't used the high speeds much as just got them past few months, but I still love the old original ones.

As noted though you can get a sweet deal on the high speed fuel, where the OGs rarely go on sale they are thrown in as freebies sometimes on kits.

WELL SHOOT! Thanks for this info, I had no idea mine was older and that there’s a better (faster and smaller) version now.

I had always kinda disliked how slow mine (2557) was but it’s usefulness outweighed any frustration. Now that I know there’s a better version I’m gonna have to find a good time to upgrade.

The old versions shared the same parts as well - at least in terms of form factor. That’s why I posted. A 1/4” ratchet that is the same size as the 3/8” one basically serves no purpose for me. But, a 1/4” ratchet with a smaller form factor could be useful.

Speed wasn’t even a consideration for me until today as I didn’t know there were newer, faster ones.

Having a faster 3/8” would be awesome. But with the 1/4” my main concern is size.

I'm shopping for a new drill/impact driver.

Is the M12 fuel stuff better than the non Fuel M18 stuff? Looking at these combos.

Defining better can be a tough one. The M12 fuel drill and impact are the first ones I reach for giving their size and ergonomics. That being said there are situations where the greater torque of an m18 drill is needed.

So, the non-fuel 18v stuff has a bit more power than the fuel 12v stuff? I'll probably go with the 18v stuff then, since I've already got some 18v stuff.

I might need to find a new line of work in CA when small engines are all banned.
You might be joking, but you shouldn't. A guy on a car forum I frequent has made one heck of a side-business in replacing capacitors on old PC motherboards. I think he gets a lot of business from businesses who rely on now-obsolete PC interfaces and need to keep their ancient PCs going. I imagine small engine repair will take off when bans start to hit.

May be one of the least expensive Milwaukee acquisitions in this thread. $11 at Home Depot. They're goatskin!
My local HD was clearing out a bunch of these for $5 a pair a few months ago. I snagged a few sets. Quite comfy!

Looks like 500 inch pounds vs 350 inch pounds, m18 non fuel vs m12 fuel respectively, according to the specs. However if you are really focused on torque the m18 fuel drill is 1200 inch pounds apparently. Guessing that's why Milwaukee addicts are focused on fuel versions only. No wonder why that thing almost broke my wrist when using it on a trailer valet (accidentally engaged the brake).
