Don't have the 3D file and not sure which model this fits...older blower vs new blower sizing
I did find this

MEP - there is 2 sellers (same ebay and etsy) doing the 3D printed stubby nozzle. One is cheaper and when you look at the review, it sorta states why (not well). The latter , StubbyCoNozzles, seems to have better reviews on their finished item and I suppose their price reflects it.

I'm sure someone will offer a 3D printed one on ebay or etsy for less.

If you get the new one, you can figure out if the nozzle is compatible between them. If so I can print up one of the existing ones.

I have printed the short one from Thingiverse. It was just over 30 hours on my Ender 3. It works well.

Wow. 30 Hrs. I can see how time is reflective on cost......granted, seller is not standing there watching it for 30+ hrs...

I may just cut it down. I have to do a reading, as I believe there may be a thing as in -too short- of a nozzle that does effect performance.

Bought an M18 Inflator for road trip insurance along with a tire fixing kit, fortunately didn't need to break into that. Decided to top off the fleet since it's been getting substantially colder at night now. 16 tires aired up to my specifications in 30 minutes. It was very quick, easy to use, and actually pretty quiet. Still had all 4 lights on my XC8.0 battery too.

It makes a lot of sense to print for yourself if you own a 3D printer. Family and friends too. Filament cost is about $5.

Not so much as a commercial undertaking.

I printed mine (plus one for my son, and one for a friend of his) using my standard print setting with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm layer height.

I suspect the guys selling them are using a 0.8 or 1.0mm nozzle with a much larger layer height, which would speed it up a lot. That will come with a corresponding reduction in quality, which may or may not be important to you,

Had some store credit to use, and found these at my local Home Depot. Immediately threw them on my stubbles, and felt a noticeable difference using the 2.5 on the 3/8” stubby removing lug nuts. Usually there’s a little bit of hammering when I used the 3.0s on this same gun. The 2.5 was definitely quicker. I haven’t used the 5.0 yet, that one is on my 1/2” stubby.

You paid full price for some batteries? You are an addict!

Cool that they seem to make the existing tools punch harder though.

Haha, I am an addict - but I did not pay full price for these batteries. Aside from the store credit, I also had a $25 off coupon through my HD credit card. Between the store credit and the coupon, I had zero out of pocket expense for these batteries.

Dang $120 for the 5.0. This addict is waiting for the sales although the extra mojo sounds compelling.

Do you mind opening up the 5.0 and lettings us fellow addicts know the cells?

They aren't using the 21700's the m18 HOs use? I guess the 21700's probably have too much girth to fit in m12 tools...
Yup, that'ts correct. 21700s are too large in diameter to fit 3 of them in the handle of M12 tools.

Thanks all. $50-$60 in cells seems to make the retail price slightly more justifiable in my mind. Seems like a ~20-30% increase in discharge vs normal 18650's. Interestingly the 25S came out in 2018, probably took a while for the pricing to come down and make more economic sense for the HO line. Am just conjecturing here if it isn't obvious.

Retail price on the Samsung 25S cells is around $9 each. Milwaukee's cost will certainly be much lower than that, very likely less than $6 each. The new M12 CP2.5 battery has 3 25S cells in it costing less than $18. I don't know the cost of the battery management circuit board. The battery typically sells for $79. I think it is safe to say there is a fat profit margin in batteries.

I think I'm just trying to justify it to myself. Really should just wait for them to come in package deals. At the same time wish my m12 stubby had some more balls.

Milwaukee launched M12 Fuel high speed ratchets in 2021. Prior to that, they launched M12 Fuel extended reach ratchets.

Now, they are launching M12 Fuel high speed extended reach ratchets. Makes sense.

The main selling points include: best-in-class access, fastest cordless ratchets, 20% more reach than competitive ratchets.

Milwaukee’s M12 Fuel 1/4″ extended reach ratchet deliver 40ft-lbs max torque and 250 RPM, and their 3/8″ ratchet delivers 55 ft-lbs max torque and 200 RPM. The new high-speed versions deliver 35 ft-lbs max torque and 450 RPM.

If you’re looking for an extended reach ratchet, would you benefit more from higher max torque, or faster speed?

Bare tool price will be around $249. Available Nov. 2022.

I've on/offed considered getting a printer myself.
I did end up ordering it, although just cutting it down would have achieved the same result

You lost me at HELLO, on the 3D printing yibber-yabber, but not that nozzle, layer height was even on my WIKI of 3D printed knowledge.
Thx for replying back regardless as it it least put on my Wiki the nozzle, layer height....etc...

The results are in.
I was looking at the size of the blower wheel on the new M18 vs. my current cordless Dewalt. Dewalt is maybe almost 2X as large...
Here I was thinking the red blower would not compete with the Yellow.
It's the only Yellow tool I have in my lineup. (I also had the long reach hedge, but the M18 replaced that)
Regardless, I guess Red has got larger -turbos- in it ;) as it does produce more pooooowwwweeer.

However, as a reference point.
Fully charged Dewalt - I can dry the car full and easily still have 3/4 charge with their 6AH 40V Battery

I have the 12, 9, and 8 but for this test, I used my oldest 5.0 batteries fully charged.
A full dry of the vehicle leaves 1 bar left on the battery.
Batteries don't feel as -hot- like when use them with the grinder...
But for sure, it's noticeable. This thing has both power and volume.

Now, all I really want is a M36, ahem dual M18, large cordless cutoff saw to replace my itty bitty 9 inch one
pfft...no thanks MX

Anyone know if a 2nd gen M18 Surge impact is in the works? Mine is at least 6 years old and is acting up. I picked up a gen 4 today and would like to buy another Surge but will hold off if a new one is coming out.

The deal is sold out, it keeps going back in stock/out of stock as people buy them. Keep checking back, I was just able to grab one just now but I think I got the last in stock one.

I have to grab my Gen 1 Rocketlight and put it side to side to my new arrived Gen 2. Just short of larger head heads due to 2nd row of LED's, making it 2X as bright, I don't recall it being this insanely massive and heavy. Sturdy I suppose

I think it is time for some side by side pics?

In slightly related news, I got paint all over mine when I painted my bathroom with a sprayer. What do you guys think would be safe for the plastic to clean the paint off of it? I am worried acetone would eat the plastic.

Easier said than done. I know where it is...but it's buried. It's currently on a bottom shelf, in the back and there are things in front that beed to be removed to get it.

My 2 mains is my M12 tripod and the M18 handheld original floody. Out of all my plethora of Red Lights, the M18 flood is my go to light for most things

Rusty. Got my stubby nozzle. Wild guess it's like 3X thickness of a Poland spring water bottle ? Seems okay on build. It's got some flex to it ....but doesn't seem like it's -hard- to the point where it can crack due to it being too rigid. No idea if it's considered good or bad 3d printer...but it fits the new blower and the stubby is just perfect for -car drying- applications..

If you want the saw and the battery you can get it from maxtool. Same deal, only you can't return one of the items for a discount on the other.

Used the M18 inflator to just do a general top off since the temps are dropping. I will have to get a tire gauge to see how accurate it is...
And or drop 2 tires to 26PSI, and then connect the M12 and M18 to time them. They do function differently though.

For example, the M12 might take 30 seconds or so to do the same function on inflating to IME
The M18 seems faster but also different. It literally was like 6 seconds of inflating, then a quick-slow release. It basically does a larger inflate and then deflate to pressure.
