To me.....EVERY tool is a hammer!
its a great idea i used to mash up my old craftsman ratchets using them as a hammer all the time
the wera KOLOSS ratchet has just blown my mind. its a ratchet that is a hammer. this tool should have been invented 50 years ago.![]()

Every one of my tools has been either a prybar or hammer at one point in time.
I just use a c-man 1/2 drive when I need a ratchammer.
... scaffolding, concrete anchor bolts, highway construction (signs rails).... there are plenty of jobs that could easily benefit from carrying a ratchet that has a hammer head as well as an alignment spike on the opposite end. love how many people just throw dirt on things they don't like personally...
that's exactly what I look for in a ratchet. extra large, clunky, heavy, and like to make sure there is no easy way to warranty it. makes working on projects extra inconvenient...I also like hammers that I can really beat on things with. steel handles so I get pain in my wrist, and hopefully when really banging on things, it will damage the ratchet part so I can not have to worry about which job I should be doing, ratcheting or hammering...man, I could really use me one of these...do they make a combination screwdriver with a punch on the handle end, and maybe the shanke is a course rasp? that would be awesome...

its a large, extra heavy-duty hammer ratchet that is supposed to have enough weight to work like a hammer, there are also a lot of steel handle/neck hammers around that don't hurt peoples hands, think vaughn hammers, the ratchet is less likely to be damaged thanks to the pass thru design and the fact that the square is protected by the hammer heads, one quick look would have devised that. also, wera has a US division that warranties all their tools super quick, they'll send it out before you send it in.
sounds like you just want to hate what you don't understand![]()

That looked like the biggest downfall to me as well, large head means no tight corners, definitely more for open areasSeems overly heavy with limited clearance for what I use a ratchet for (mechanics). If my main focus was scaffolding or whatever, I guess it'd be useful. Glad it works well for your uses though.
Lol, perfectly dry. This one cracked me up.that's exactly what I look for in a ratchet. extra large, clunky, heavy, and like to make sure there is no easy way to warranty it. makes working on projects extra inconvenient...I also like hammers that I can really beat on things with. steel handles so I get pain in my wrist, and hopefully when really banging on things, it will damage the ratchet part so I can not have to worry about which job I should be doing, ratcheting or hammering...man, I could really use me one of these...do they make a combination screwdriver with a punch on the handle end, and maybe the shanke is a course rasp? that would be awesome...
