I had to blow the dust off of it but there's Chevy orange under there. This is the 4.3 that's going in my 40 Ford. I think somewhere in the Bible there's a commandment that Chevys have to be orange

It's right next to the one that says "Thou shalt not put Chevy motors in Ford trucks" :p

Whats the little cummins in??

that was a google pic.

my 4bta is still in the fedex truck in which it came. I am currently looking for a dodge durango to do a repower on this year. I have a buddy w/ one in a RHD postal jeep, too.

I was in the Cummins/ npower shop the other day and was checking out the cutaway engine, w/ the new(er) black and red paint scheme- looked pretty sharp, but an oil leak will show up sooner on a biege engine,- a good thing, IMHO.

Me and my 289 for my '67 Mustang coupe! the color is same as my car! My engine is prettier than my car! lol I don't have that crappy air cleaner anymore, that darn cheapy foam element caught fire! luckily I caught it before it did any damage! It looks neat, but should be banned for sale!

Sweet looking 6. I had one back in the day with the 232 engine. The color looks good but I'm partial to Cat Yellow or Perkins White.

NiceColor!

You need to buy a Toolbox like mine, and take that Z28 stuff off there and put some Ford Mustang Badges on it! I even have the Black stripes for the TopBox cover, but I've never put them on. It would look real nice in your Garage though!

Those are the worst air cleaners ever... glad to hear you got rid of it.

Natural metal color, with as little oil dribbling as possible.:)

I can't be the only one, can I?

In a serious twist, I've always wondered if anyone keeps their daily drivers that clean, or is it more of along the lines of, it is already out, might as well clean it up and paint it to make it easier to clean and work on in the future?

I really like the oily, dirty engines to show up in my bay.
I get to add on an engine clean up charge to the ticket as part of some ROs....and get my cut...

Can't say as I'm particularly partial to the color, but a spraycan of "aluminum" color seemed to go on my Corolla's block and look ok.

Otherwise, I tend to go with 'factory rust/oil/dirt' as it builds up....

Big fan of Detroit Diesel Green. The wife likes it too because she says it's similar to Tiffany's Blue. :lol_hitti
