Anything like this made in USA?
Berylco.
They specialize in the manufacture of Beryllium Copper tools and alloys.
Ampco as well, however Ampco has been moving away from Beryllium Copper to other specialty bronze and copper alloys for the tools were it is possible to do so, so many of the Ampco tools are now Aluminum Bronze, or Nickel Bronze alloys.
Beryllium is really bad for your lungs if you breathe it in apparently,
In Europe there was or is also Carltsoe Safety Tools, which now seems to have an address in Switzerland, but which I think used to be based in Denmark, and at one point may have been owned by Ampco?
Beta in Italy offers a line of Berylium Copper tools, but I’m not sure the tools are made in Italy.
Ega Master tools in Spain offers Beryllium Copper and other non-sparking tool lines( along with other weird stuff like titanium tools) but again, I’m not sure the tools are actually made in Spain.
Facom also offers non-sparking tools, but the tools look nothing like most of the other Facom tools, do I think the tools are imported from India or China or somewhere.
Judging by Bundeswehr surplus, most of the major German tool manufacturers must have made non-sparking tool lines at some point of other, although I usually don’t see much of it in the catalogs nowadays.
The beryllium Copper tools weren’t just used for non-sparking reasons.
They also used to be used in marine environments since the bronze alloys wouldn’t rust, particularly around salt water,
And the tools are also sometimes used around MRI machines and other strong magnets.
They may also have been used for bomb disposal as well for the above reasons.
