Look what Snappy brought me today. They were free with the purchase of a set of pliers I really didn't need, but can you blame me? They're awesome! Actual demo pliers that are aluminum. They come with a little mount to hang them on the wall. Too cool.

Mine looks nice hanging on my wall, next to my giant wrench, above my giant ratchet. Of all the giant tools, the pliers is the closest one to working. It is solid aluminum and adjust threw all 3 ranges.

Which set of pliers did you have to buy and how much were they? You could probably sell your "RARE LIMITED EDITION GIANT (and most important) GREEN pliers" on ebay for more than you paid for the whole set and demo pliers.

There were three plier set choices. I went with the cheapest at $117 for needle nose, cutters, and standard. And yes I went with the green ones. Don't want to sell the giants though. They're too cool.

Wow, what's the overall length on those? Biggest pliers I got are the Knipex Cobra XXL 560mm (22 inch) pair, and those are absolutely monstrous in person.

Those are awesome for 3/4 ton and 1 ton aliments. I don't think I have used mine for much else though lol.

What else do you do with pliers that big? They've got those same pliers (rebranded Matco) at one of my favorite pawn shops for a good price, but I can't imagine what I'd actually use them for...

Well now that I am wrenching for Honda probably nothing.

I guess you could kill people with them. I mean if you roll that way.

Got pics of the other giants?

Those plies would be a neat/funny nut cracker for the holidays :D make a wood base for the pilers to sit in.

You know I thought the same thing when I bought them. But being a HD truck tech I knew I would come across situations where I would need them. Once you have a tool like that you find things to use it for that you never imagined

That would be a spelling error, was trying to say alignments.

3/4 and 1 ton is in reference to trucks, 250/2500 and 350/3500

Thanks, I tried to figure it out, but I guess I should have tried saying it out loud a couple of times...

My driver had a few that you could get a chance on by buying some pliers. One purchase is one chance. To the original poster...your driver is much more generous.

I didn't realize he only had three pair on the truck. I got one and my buddy got one. A second buddy was gonna get the third one but didn't realize there were only three either. He needed Snappy to stop by later in the day for a payment and the last pair was sold by then. He got a coffee mug.

Those are AWESOME......

I'd love a pair for the wall. I have a HUGE wrench they would look neat next too.

Please post photos of your wall of "MONSTER" tools.

The Knipex one's weight twice as much and just look much meaner. I really need to take photo's of my pliers draws, it's kinda funny seeing the knipex on the left and the channel locks on the right.

So you keep the Germans segregated from the Americans? Are you afraid they will crossbreed? I am guessing the large knipex pliers are a little more than $50?

The XXL Cobras were about $90 when I got them. As for uses, I've found them to come in handy for many things. I've used them to take the cartridge retaining nut off old strut assemblies, adjusting tie rods, and breaking loose large, rounded/rusted suspension bolts.
