I moved into this house the end of jan. the garage is 21 ft x33ft. the cabinets with long doors are constructed of wood {mdf} the work bench is made from 1 inch square tubing with malamine countertops and mdf for the doors. This has been my obsession since I moved in. All cabinets were constructed in this garage by myself and some help from friends. The floor is from greg smith equiptment. So far so good. This garage has all the goodies. Satellite, dvd, vhs, dsl internet, beer fridge, deep well sink ect,,, This is a working garage from welding to painting automotive and other maint. My future plan is to build an AC cobra. ENJOY BERM P.S. The first photo is before.

I want to do the exact thing you did with cabinet for the one wall! I have a area that I can put a deep well sink in as too. Nice job! Like the bikes as well. All you need now is a lift for the bikes :) I don't MX much, but do the occasional XC or enduro. Mostly just trail it on the weekends.

Did you read any books or have plans for cabinets?

Very nice and you did a great job on the cabinets. I built furniture professionally for 25 years (recently retired) you are to be commended.

both sets of cabinets were built from raw materials. I drew the plans up from scratch. A close friend supplied me with left over automotvive paint for the frames and doors. I used a gallon of silver base coat from approx 15 different silvers he had left over. The blue is a dodge blue paint code PCH. One of the best looking blue I have ever seen. As luck would have it almost perfect match for the floor tile. Enjoy Berm!

Here is some pics of the desk and work area. As luck would have it a case of the gray tile was damaged in transit so I was unable to finish the floor. hopefully in a few days. Some of the fun tools - metal lathe,220 lincoln mig,220lincoln buzz box, thermal dynamics plasma cutter and victor torch setup. enjoy BERM!

LOVE THAT COLOR-MATCHING!

My friends are already giving me hell for starting to paint all my equipment matching colors.

That in counter parts washer is a great idea! I was going to just use a regular sink, but maybe I'll bury the parts washer instead. Brilliant!

You painted all yourself? How about some tips or a "how-to" in the "how-to" section? I'm brushing the smaller tools and would like to learn how to spray.

looks good, really good.

I am very fortunate to have my best friend as auto body specialist. Through alot of coaching I have learned how to paint. I have done a couple of completes on cars. The best way to learn is to practice on things that doesn't matter. I am even learning how to airbrush. I will post a small garbage can that I painted. Any guess what my favorite color is? BERM

Beer fridge

Just put some finishing touches on the garage. The paint and sticker theme on my freezer and beer fridge was boring me and I had a little time on my hands. I finished it just in time for the garage warming party. [big success]. Here are the before and after pics. ENJOY BERM

Fellow motocrosser...

Berm, EXCELLENT garage! I also race motocross, and restore muscle cars...I'm jealous. Lots of GREAT ideas!! Are you cleaning your air filters in that parts washer? I had thought about the same idea, using No-toil cleaner insead of solvent... Excellent use of space. (I'm gonna steal some of your ideas!)

I live in the boise area. My daughter and I race mountain home, glennsferry, and several of the tracks in the boise area. Pleasant valley cycle park being our favorite. Yes I do clean my air filters in the parts cleaner. I don't use notoil. I like using maxima. I use mineral spirits in the parts cleaner. It gets most of the oil out and then I use dawn dish soap in the garage sink for the final cleaning. Works real well. Good to have another moto head here. Berm
