I looked at the picture of your subpanel, it appears as though there are only three conductors coming out of that conduit. You need four. You also needed to have bonded the rebar in the slab (called a UFER ground).

For my education only. When I did the power to my shop it was from the meter base and I was given the option to use ground rods or a UFER ground connected to a minium of 20' of rebar in the floor. Are you saying that a UFER is required by your jurisdiction?

BTW I used two ground rods and nothing to the steel in the slab and was ok'ed by the county.

He is asking $750.00 for the building. I am still trying to get pricing for a new structure of this size. seems that material alone is $6,000 to $7,000 dollars. I think I will go ahead and buy the barn and try to move myself. I am sure a couple of steel beams and a 48' flat bed trailer will do the trick.... First I have to pour my concrete... I will post pics soon

Maybe the 750.00 includes free shipping ??

the OP is on NEC 2008. I dont know when the requirement was added, but if a UFER ground exists, you have to bond it -not an option.

It's been a while since I have posted on here but I am still working on this project and have tried to take pictures of each step. I have put a roof coating on the roof to enhance the look as well as seal any small holes. I have painted the exterior as well as foamed the exterior walls. There are a few more things like wiring, and put up some osb, but still have alot more to do. I will post some pictures so you can see where I am at to this date.

Here is a picture of the roof almost finished. Me and a buddy did it and it took about 16 hours total to put the coating on. Anyone thinking of putting this on, make sure you let this sit in the sun for a couple of hours before you apply it. (goes on a lot easier). Also, plan on throwing away the clothes you wear because it will definately get on you. I did this in early spring of this year

These are pictures of me painting the exterior as well as the finished result. I pressure washed the exterior with purple power and sprayed the paint with a Wagner sprayer. I painted all of the brown in 1 hour and 15 minutes. I could not believe how well the sprayer worked. The trim, was a different story, took about a week, because we had to put multiple coats on. all in all very pleased with how everything turned out.

After finishing the paint on the outside, I ran recepts to the ceiling for my lights. 8 in the shop and 4 above the loft. All are 4 ft fluorescents. This is for the shop and loft only. I have not started on the "mancave" yet, but plan on hanging 4 4footers and some cans....

They started this past Saturday and arrived at about 5:30 pm. They had another job they had that morning. It took them about an hour to switch the barrells as they had sprayed closed cell at the previous location and I was having open cell sprayed. pictures are of their rig and set up.

Saturday, they worked for about an hour and half and got part of the ceiling sprayed. pictures show. You may notice a different color in some spots. This is because some of the closed cell was still in the machine from the previous job. They showed up Sunday around noon and finished the job around 8:00pm

I had taken most of the lights down before they sprayed because I didnt want them to get hit, so when they finished, I put them back up and took pictures. I also had them spray the sliding door. I have been shaving it down this week so I can cover it. Shaving this stuff is horrible. The first day I started, I found out real quick that you need to have protective eye wear and some sort of breathing apparatus....
