I received the tool cart. It is more square shaped than the Hazet, but it is also heavier and more substantial than the Hazet I saw about a year ago. The handles don't fold like the Hazet, but I don't care since I don't plan to put it in the trunk of a car. Overall I am impressed with the quality and the sturdiness of this little cart. It also has a unique locking mechanism and an attachment for holding T-handle wrenches.

Pictures of the KTC Easy-Buddy tool caddy and a few additional Nepros tools I received recently. I am still waiting on 2 additional Nepros tool orders.

Very nice stuff Sir!

You didn't get the blue-stained wood handle (the best one :D)?

I ordered one of each but they are discontinued and the blue handle and black handle were out of stock, so I got what was still available. The rep wasn't even aware that these were available or what they were. She asked me where I got the part numbers since they were not in her catalog listing.

RICLEH, can you give us your general impression of the ratchets please?
I am digging on the buggy.

The Nepros ratchets are nothing special mechanically. They are comparable to the older 36 tooth Snapon ratchets. They get the job done and are smooth acting. The fit and finish is excellent. If you are asking about the special edition wood handled or the leather handled ratchets then that is a different story. I got those for reasons other than to use as an every day tool. The craftsmanship is superb and they are more works of art than tools. Those ratchets are more of a collectors item than a tool. I have not been disappointed in any of the Nepros or KTC items that I have purchased. About 90% of my tools are Snapon. I purchased these Japanese made tools to see how they compared. I also have tools manufactured for Craftsman, Cornwell, MAC, Matco, SK, Stahlwille, Wera, Wiha, Moody, Sunflag, IPS, Knipex, Channelock, Wright, Proto, Bonney, Diamond, Crescent, GearWrench, Koken, OTC, PB Swiss, and several others that don't immediately come to mind. All these tools are pretty good. Some are better than others. Some tools are unique to a single brand. Mostly I stick with Snapon due to my personal experience with their tools. Overall I have been very pleased with my Snapon tools. They aren't perfect, but nobody else is either. Sometimes I like to get something different just to see what other companies offer. That was the case with the Nepros and KTC tools.

That's the one. I should be getting it today.

The KTC distributor in the U.S. is thetoolnetwork

Thanks, I forgot about that place. I never looked into the place too seriously as the website looked (and still does) a bit outdated. Their prices turned me off as well.

Have you gotten a response from them?

BTW, how does the fitment of all the socketry items feel compared to your Snap-on items? Equal or even better, isn't it? When you snap any socket/extension/adapter/ratchet together, it just sounds and feels like no other. :D They just snap into place with little to no play.

No response from thetoolnetwork. I am not at all impressed with their website either. I only contacted them because the KTC rep in Japan requested that I do so. I will inquire if I can fulfill my KTC order through her again or if I must deal with thetoolnetwork.

The fitment of the Nepros sockets and wrenches is excellent - as you say, it is equal or better than my Snapon tools. The finish and detail on the Nepros tools is the best I have ever seen. I think the Nepros tools are a great bargain with the Nepros.net pricing. I am purchasing everything I think I will use since I am concerned that they will raise their prices in the future. I have 2 more orders outstanding and I think when those orders are filled I will have a good collection of Nepros tools for future use.

I think I am approaching a point where I don't see many tools I need to purchase in the future. I think I have pretty much all the tools I need to do the types of work that I perform. Of course I have had this thought in the past and I always seem to come across something new I would like to get. Time will tell I suppose. And reading this forum exposes me to many things I would otherwise never know about. Nepros tools are a good example.

I emailed the Nepros rep, asking if it would be possible to order some KTC wrenches. They responded that they could for a similar discount as the Nepros, but the shipping fee was much higher. I asked why, and they replied that the Nepros website is old... So it looks like once the new Nepros website go's live, the shipping charges will be raised :dunno:

I'm gonna have to fulfill my wish list soon, by the looks of things. Gotta get them Nepros on the cheap  I keep telling myself, just one more order :lol_hitti

KTC off set box end wrenches and combo wrenches came in today. They have a very industrial feel to them. Beefy and overbuilt, even the plastic tray is heavy duty. I can pick up the tray full of wrenches and it wont even flex or bend. If Nepros is the sports car, these are the 4x4 of KTC's line up. I like them a lot

So tempting. I am trying to not buy more Nepros but you guys make it so hard! On the order side it took about a month to receive the items. I assume they were made to order so-to-speak.

If they have the items in stock usually 2-3 days, best to email the rep first to check if the items are in stock. UPS or Fed Ex from Japan is pretty darn quick, and cheap if you order exclusively from the Nepros.net site.

Oh yeah, the KTC and Nepros print catalogue's are in English, fill out the request form on Nepros.net and it will be sent out Fed Ex within the week

Is Nepro's a higher end line than the ktc line.
I went to the nepro's website and ordered a catalog and received a ktc cat. Whati wanted was the nepros cat. i will try again. The prices seem to be more then fair for the product.

Hmmmm... when I ordered I received a KTC and a separate Nepros catalog, the Nepros was a lot thinner though.

Yes the Nepros is the high end line of KTC.

Maybe try out a single wrench or socket and see for yourself if it stacks up to what you usually use.

Monte,

Where did you find the ratchets with the colored handles? I don't see them listed on the KTC or Nepros sites.

Yah they copy the Stahlwille I-Beam design, but Stahlwille's feel more rounded/organically shaped. Where as the KTC's are not sharp, but a little more blocky feeling in the hand, if that makes any sense.

The set of 8 KTC combo wrenches were $56, plus I added the extra sizes to have a complete 7-19mm set. The off set box ends were $95, plus I added a 16-18mm Nepros off set box end to the order, $35 shipped to the US for the whole shebang. A little cheaper than the Stahlwille's in the states.

The fit on fasteners is just as good as the Nepros too.
