I'd sure say it's a US General (HF) 44" roller.

Offer the guy $220 and see what he says !! :D

I would go take a look at it, pocket dial him so he goes inside and take a dump in the top drawer.

These are the cases that are hard to determine which of the following 2 cases is applicable.

1.) The seller doesn't know better, maybe it was told to them as a snap on box.

2.) The more likely, seller is a lying, worthless sack of $hit, knowingly trying to rip off the next person. I love how the ad says "For sale or trade used but like new they sell new for $4700.00 not looking for pen pals, discussions, opinions selling or trading only! I have no time for darlic people thanks call or text 352-277-2447 open to realistic trades or cash offers ! " I'd tell him, give me a serial number and proof that that EXACT box sells for $4700 and I will give him the full asking price of whatever he wants. Me has a feeling that a serial number or like wise will not be provided.

If you want a good laugh look at his other ads.

What would be fun to do is to start putting that same size snap on logo onto say the 9.99 tool sets you get at the parts stores. Or even that logo on the ratchets from those sets. Not to be a douche, just for a goof.

That's funny as did a search of all his CL listings by Googling his phone number for CL site.
> > > > > Google > > > > 352-277-2447 site:craigslist.org

Looks like he cycles through dogs and toolboxes . . . . :dunno:

. . . . OR . . . . did he really get the tool box in trade for English bulldog, and guy was so much of ***** that he didn't even know it was HF box?? :dunno:

More likely he's total douche and scammer !! :eyecrazy:

Does he hope that someone is stupid enough not to notice that its not snapon. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but is this not a re-badged Harbor Freight box.

Looks like someone has finally flagged this listing, as it's now been removed.

What a turd that guy is trying to rip people off like that. And who swaps their poor old bulldog anyway. Whadda scumbag.

What makes you think that it was a real bulldog ? It was probably a chihuahua with a bulldog sticker on it's collar.

So, he was selling what he claimed was a 2-bay Snap-on box, but at the same time, wanted to trade his bulldog for a 2-bay Snap-on box?

Would have been amusing to send him the picture of the HF box he rebadged and offer the trade...

The REAL douche part is I replied to the ad, told him he was caught.......even sent the link to Harbor Freight on the box. Told him if he didn't remove it himself, I would flag it..........apparently, he didn't believe me.

Harbor Freight has a Twitter account they like to use. Maybe they would like to show folks how much everyone loves their tool boxes even to the point of using them to impersonate other brands.

Although all it would really do is have anyone that is out of state for that listing to agree to purchase it, get it documented in emails, go on site to check it out and then take pictures of it to show that it's a HF unit and not a Snap-On. Then call the police and report the crime with intent to defraud. As it happened across state lines, it becomes a felony and they'll be going to jail while the box itself will be seized and sold at police auction. Likely not for $4500... ;)

I find it interesting what he's looking to trade for, maybe he's worried a customer will wise up, or worried about past customers?

I emailed the gentlemen inquiring about the item in question and his response was quite... entertaining. Yes, it's a scam, he admits to intending to defraud people and yes, they used Photoshop to product a counterfeit product to offer for sale. And they fully intend to keep doing it.

The it was put up as a joke to see how many people would notice to my not surprise I had morons offer cars rings , and all kinds of things but there was never a tool box like it was photo shopped it proved just what I had expected craigs list is full of ingoreent people that have nothing better to do then flag ads and sit on the internet and **** with people I had some that were despite and trying to trade what ever it takes to get it craigs list was a good thing but ....people ruined it with there flaging real ads for sale just cause there nothing better for them to do I hope they close craigs list and re open a new type of list that is monatered by the site better and people ads that are real can't be flagged

This is truly a person whom doesn't understand the irony of their own comments. The 'joke' is on nobody but themselves.

It has generated some amusement though.

Police departments love these sorts of idiots. Criminals so stupid they *advertise* their actions and then even go to the trouble of documenting and admitting their intent. Wow. :)

:wtf:   :lol_hitti As my father used to say. "It is better to let people think you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt". I swear, if CL had a basic IQ test before posting, alot of this **** wouldn't be on there.

The best part.. He says not to waste his time, yet all he is doing is wasting his time and more importantly the time of everyone that reads the ad. What a lying, hypocritical sack of $hit. People never cease to amaze me.

Here is another one. Used US General bottom only for $400. There must be something in the water down in Tampa these days.

I should drive over to Dade City and screw with him.....I'll bring my HF cement mixer and try to make a trade...He did say he was "open to realistic trades"...I'd say that would be a realistic trade....

Maybe you can trade him a nice "Shelby" Ford Pinto. It's rare- the only one ever made! See? It says SHELBY right there on the photo. It must be real.
