Well I'm getting ready to move and take a huge downsize when it comes to my shop. The house and property is a huge upgrade but the shop is going to be tight for a long time. The few that know me on here or have been to my place know I have a lot of stuff! My current building is an older 80x100 pole barn with a silo in it. It has 3 shops in the front end of it and they are insulated. The arena area has a lot to be desired but it fit all the cars and more inside with ease. I could load a car on my car trailer inside....I will miss that!! Well I hope to keep up to date on this thread throughout my move and document how my new (forever) shop evolves. Hope everyone enjoys.

Here are some shots of the current building

Moving into this 30x50 finished inside building with heat

Well the tear down is underway. I scrapped the Frankenstein part of my lift this weekend. Weighed in at 2432 pounds. Here are some pictures of the lift coming apart. Was a pretty big task for two guys.

Amongst all the movement in the shop. I could not pass up my opportunity at owning an old camelback drill press. Bought it for a cool $50. Just another project added to the list. Will be an awesome addition to the new shop after I get it restored.

Your current garage is massive! Like having your own parking garage, haha. But at the same time, that new shop is very nice. I'd love to have a shop that size.

I love the camelback! I used to have a restored bench top Canedy-Otto camelback, and always loved how quiet it ran. All you ever heard was a faint electrical hum and the sound of the belt seam each rotation. Something about a leather belt-driven machine is just so beautifully old school. I ended up selling it to make way for a Walker Turner, but I think a bigger floor standing camelback will find its way back into my hands before too long.

Yes exactly! Beautifully historic and just awesome to use the old stuff that those before us used.

Well tonight I dug out the 65ft run of underground thermopex that connects my outdoor wood furnace to the current house. Figured I would save the money of paying someone doing it for me or buying new product at $18/ft....here is a picture during installation to give you an idea of the 3ft deep trench I dug back up to get it out. My grass does not look that nasty now....that is when I moved in....dont judge too hard.

After getting that project done mid evening, I spent most of the time standing around thinkingg about how painful this move is going to be. Here are some pictures of my shops inside my current building.

This is my woodshop (which I will not have at the new place)

Then my main shop where most of the time wasting is done....

And finally the reloading room where massive amounts of ammo fall out of the press when I make time to fulfill that hobby. (This room will move into my new basement)
