Hello everyone , My real name is Mark, My site name is: (SIRMARKALOT) OR FOR SHORT JUST Mark, LOL. Now that , that is over , Thank You all for letting me in your forum . I AM new to Metal working, or Blacksmithing . I just picked up an Anvil..........LOL , get it , Ha/Ha no but Seriously , I JUST Got this Anvil (ARM & Hammer) from this Guy getting his Hair cut @ my sons Barber shop , Long story ,,Short he GAVE IT TO ME !!!!!!!!! WITH ALL THE TOOLS & Mounted on it looks to me a OAK stump,,,,, I was so SHOCKED when i got to his house , walked into his Garage and saw this Anvil...I could not believe my eyes, IT's Beautiful ,it's not mint, but pretty darn close .I Thanked him over , & Over Again. I TOLD HIM IT WAS LIKE MY BIRTHDAY / X- MASS Fathers day every thing combined ,Thank You Brother ,Where ever you are. I am going today and Buying a Gift Card, Witch could never repay him, There is KIND & Nice People left in this World, :willy-nilly

How lovely. If you are new to metalworking, what made the guy give you an anvil? Did he say why? Just because you were getting into it and he wanted to help out a newbie?
