The new shop

I have been lurking and posting for a while now and figured it was time to post some pics of my place. A couple of years ago I finally found a house to buy that had room for my shop. I wanted a place with a garage but liked the idea of building my own. The other picture is of my old shop. I could only find this one pic with the garage in the background (my first dirt track car in the foreground). The other is from google streetview and was not when I was there (not my mess out front).
The new place is out in the country (only 1 Km from the city limits) with a little river flowing through the back of the lot. This was when I just finished for the final inspection. I have since been working on setting up the shelving and the rest of the interior. I will put up some more pics when that is done. It's not as nice as some of the beauties I have seen on here but it has the space I needed and room to add on later.

That is a great looking shop. Your pictures show why I contend that a 24" deep shop is not deep enough. Your rig in there is what 24' long and you still have plenty of room to get around each end of it. What size is it? 24x40' I would guess.

No worries as it is not that clean anymore. I had not moved anything in at that time and i have since built a racecar in there so that dust has been flying.

30X36 12 foot walls and cathedral ceiling (scissor trusses) so that I could fit the 12X12 service door without having to go to 14 foot walls. I also went with the in floor heat, best choice of the entire garage.

That old shop was 20X22 and I could not make it all the way around the truck when it was pulled in. I could just barely shut the door and still get by the front. This winter while we were working on the racecar that wifes car broke down. We turned the racer sideways so the crew could keep working and I was able to pull the car right in with room to spare. Also had two quads in there at the same time. Love the room to move. This went over budget but I was still single when I started it. I got engaged part way through the build and it was done by the time the wedding came so it just got blended in with the other debts.
