I just woke up so had to post what I got late last night. It was so cool to also get a letter talking about my interests in BMWs and Rovers and how my secret santa hoped it would get good use on those in the future. All I can say is PERFECT gift! My Discovery just crapped out its passenger side window regulator last week so these will get used this weekend.

Thanks JustinMC. Great gift and one that I will always remember when I use them. Here's a pic of the very useful trim tool set he got me along with a pic of me really enjoying getting set to carve my first Turkey my gf and I cooked together this past Thanksgiving. :lol_hitti We had the best time with it so we are doing it again today and having lots of family over for dinner this afternoon.

I hope Bushhawg73 likes the gift I got him. I never thought of including a letter so I hope the gift covers it.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I got 2 packages from my Secret Santa.

Here they are unopened:

Here are the gifts they contained:

A group of cool small gifts. A curved Proto Awl, an LED Light on a Stylus, measuring tape, drill bits and a set of jewelers screwdrivers.

Thanks Trackwelder!

Merry Christmas everyone. This was fun.

Cheers!

Good morning everybody and Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Holidays!

I'll post mine first, then on elect's behalf as I am posting pictures for him (I was the lucky recipient of his secret santa present as well, coincidentally!)

Here's mine in the envelope,
secretsanta2.jpg

Then opened and in-use!
corolla013.jpg

Truth be told I actually opened this at about 12:15 AM eastern time, (a little anxious, I guess lol) and it was literally exactly what I needed! I used this until about 3am putting a head unit in my sister's boyfriend's Corolla S (shown above) and again on my Chevy Blazer doing a stereo install. Tons of subwoofer, speaker, amp mounting, and interior panel screws were removed and re-installed with this this morning alone! Very handy and versatile tool I am sure to get lots more use out of, and it matches my other red Snap-On!

BIG THANKS TO ELECT!

Here is elect's in the package,
secretsanta1.jpg

And opened, 3/4 Snap on short combination and 7/16-3/8 6 point ratcheting wrench.
elect.jpg

BIG THANKS TO MOPARHOUND ON ELECT'S BEHALF!

Thanks to Blacknwhitepit as well for organizing this and taking the time to arrange everything.

P.S. elect also included two very nice postcards of Florida that I didn't get a picture of, but I will later on... made me very jealous of your weather, so I took a picture of what it looks like outside right now for you :lol_hitti

I got 2 pair of Craftsman Pro work gloves and a C-half-underline Craftsman socket set with a t-bar for the breaker handle. I know they are from John in MI, but I'm not sure what his handle is.

Thank-you, I wear Craftsman gloves daily at the farm and doing remodeling. I will have to check with the Craftsman Club guys and find out the vintage of the socket set, they will be jealous!

I got my presents from Jbullfrog. A lot more than I was expecting. I needed a brake shoe adjuster tool I think that is what the S shaped deal is. Not pictured were 19,002 pieces of shredded paper.

Used Snap-On ratchets can be found in garage sale and auction toolboxes for as little as free. You have to buy a dozen hand boxes of misc. to get one or two Snap-On ratchets though!

A pair of Klein Diagonal-Cutting Pliers:

Thanks to Stanger who put his name on the return address so I didn't have to guess who sent it, he also kind of gave it away in one of his posts.....

My secret santa is Piper, he got me a 7 piece SAE Mastercraft Maximum Gearwrench set, it was just what I wanted, I'll be selling my partial Blackhawk set. Piper is from Canada and Mastercraft Maximum is Canadian Tire's line of professional tools. Thank you very much Piper.

Unfortunately due to an azz on Ebay my SS has not received his yet, I PMed him a few days ago to let him know.

I also got some awesome tools from my wife, I gave her a list but she still had to track them down and deal with the idiots at Sears who tried to sell her something else.

I got the Craftsman hose clamp pliers that are made in France (Facom?), Craftsman rebadge Knipex Cobra set, Knipex needle nose and a 4 piece Knipex snap ring plier set in a roll up pouch, I really needed these.

I will post a pix when I can, but for now I will just tell

I would guess that my secret santa read a post about me learning metal working because I got 2 new/like new Martin metalworking/bodywork hammers that I will be making very good use of.
now I already have a couple of bodyworking hammers, but these are better than any of the ones I have bought for myself

and to add to that I also got a used but in very good condition 1/4 drive snap on ratchet which I will also put to some good use (besides it will feel at home next to its 'friends' in the toolbox)

my secret santa did not put a return address and no note so I have no idea who it was. I was however looking at the box and noticed that it had a delivery confirmation label so I typed the info into the net and it told me:
Label/Receipt Number: 4209 3277 9104 1195 0326 6023 0403 65
Detailed Results:

Delivered, December 17, 2008, 11:15 am, VISALIA, CA 93277
Processed, December 17, 2008, 2:12 am, SANTA CLARITA, CA 91383
Acceptance (APC), December 13, 2008, 6:46 pm, REISTERSTOWN, MD 21136

so now I just need to narrow the field a little.

anyhow, thank you very much. I really like them and I will get some great use out of them.

this has been a whole lot of fun and I hope we do it again

GDA,
It took me a while to get up off the floor after opening your gift. The Snap on 1/2 breaker bar, SN25A, is AWSOME. I did not expect such a gift. The BB is a welcome addition to my tool chest. My boys were very impressed also. All I can say is thank you verrrry much. This is the first Secret Santa that I have ever been a part of and it was so much fun. I will post a pic soon. I am already planning what I am going to get my SS next year.

I just opened my secert santa present, My girlfriend stole it out of the mail a wrapped it so i couldnt see who it was from, She is pretty sly that way.She told me that it came though. My secret santa was bushhawg73, He got me a 1/2'' vintage snap on ratchet. One of the really old ones that dosent have a reverse lever and you have to push the insert through to switch between fwd and rev. This is so cool. I never seen one that still had the insert still with the ratchet.I will take pics as soon as i get back to work. I was telling my snap on driver about these a few weeks ago and he couldnt believe what i was telling him, he never heard of it. Now he is going to be jealous of me and my new ratchet. Thank You BushHawg I appreciate it. And merry christmas to all

TheToolMan you are very welcome. I must also say thanks to Krusty. The story is : I searched your old posts and saw a bunch of pictures of your tool box and tools. I had no idea what to get you and began talking with Krusty about it. I told him that I wanted to get you somthing vintage but had looked and could not find anything in my area. Krusty then stepped up to the plate and told me of a vintage ratchet that he had. Krusty offered it to me at a very good price so that I would have a cool tool for you. We struck a deal and your gift was on the way. Krusty helped out so much. After reading your post on how much you liked the gift I was so pleased. The Christmas Spirit ran wild on this board and I am so happy to have been a part of it. I am already planning for next year.

Merry Christmas ToolMan, Krusty and everyone else.

You're very welcome! Do you have that ratchet? I looked hard at your toolbox pics and couldn't see one. If you do, I'm sorry, but I guess an extra never hurts  Can't say you were easy to get something for since you already have everything, so I sent some Italian craftsmanship along the way for you to try out :pimpflash

Sorry for the delay...3 little ones and grandparents who open presents slowly are the reason for my delay - honest!

My SS was Krusty who knew exactly what I was missing and that was a 1/2" Snappy speeder to go with my 3/8" speeder. Also, got a 3/4" socket, too! This stuff definitely looks vintage. I'll be honest, I don't know how old it is, but it looks older than the 50's 3/4" set I have.

Thanks again!

Has everyone else posted?

The speeder is late 20's, and the socket is around 1925-26. Nice tools!

You're welcome. When BWP first came up with the idea and several talked about sharing something useful from their toolbox thats what I decided I would do instead of trying to buy something. I got some great use out of it this past year so it should serve you well going forward.

And again, great to see everyone enjoying their gifts from some new friends. This is a great board.

Whoops.. slow to respond. I just wiped my main HD on my desktop computer and spent yesterday reinstalling and getting back online, etc.

My SS was AutoAce and his gift (like others on here) left me kinda stunned. I mean.. he hit the nail on the head in giving me something I didn't have and would certainly put to use! I got a Snap On FCF936 ratchet & a (forgive me can't remember the model # right now) screwdriver style soft grip ratchet spinner/adapter in 3/8" drive. Talk about awesome!

The soft grip spinner you can use on low torque stuff.. so you use it similar to a nut driver to hand tighten a screw/fastener... then use a ratchet or torque wrench in the top to snug it up to spec. A very nice tool!!!

The FCF936 is something I've eyed for awhile.. I see guys on here who have them and I'd always thought....... hmmm I could use that. I find myself using my 1/4" alot simply because of size. The FCF936 is a long handled flex head 1/4" body ratchet with a 3/8" drive!!! Talk about awesome... I love it. I'm hoping to put it to use tonight and this weekend on a couple of projects. Probably the coolest thing I got for Christmas.

Thank you AutoAce!!!!!!!! :) I'll post pics tonight.. as mentioned I had to wipe my desktop and haven't had a chance to shoot any pics and do some editing.

Your welcome! Glad you like em. I figured someone who took as much pride in their cars as you did would appreciate something that would keep em in tip top shape! ***** about the regulator but I guess at least now you are properly equipped! ;) haha... Merry Christmas!

Who was my secret santa??? They never said in their note and it is killing me. I have to know!!!! Thank you to whoever it was....

LOL,
Sorry Ed, it was me!! (sorry - I've been MIA for a few days, gotta work now) Hope you liked it. Most of the shots from your tool box were from a while ago so I had to make some guesses. I thought (mistakenly) that it was supposed to be anonymous. xmas

No problem Rick, I hope you really like them. They were based on shots from your toolbox and a couple of little things for fun. ***** that you're so busy over Christmas (or is that a good thing?). Anyway, enjoy yourself, do what you need to and post when you can.

Enjoy!

How fitting, I uploaded my Secret Santa gift pic, and my Secret Santa is the last one to post in this thread.

Best I could remember from the invoice in the packaging from yesterday was that he was from Some Beach, FL, so it has to be Terabyte.....................:spit:

Blacknwhitepit had tipped me off it would be coming from Sears.

Wife wrapped the packaging box from Sears, and put it under the tree.

SecretSantaCraftsmanKnipexPliers.jpg

Killer gift, I actually went out searching for these (even posted about the local Sears shelves being 1/3rd empty). Terabyte scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many thanks, these pliers design also exceeded my expectations.
