Not sure if there is a dedicated thread to Risers, Hitches and Work Stations for all your tool boxes. I went searching but couldn't find one so thought it might be a nice thread to get up and running.

This thread is for all makes of Risers and Hutches etc, so get posting your setups. I just took delivery of my Snap-on riser and top locker for my
KRL722..... more pics to follow.

Also feel free to show off your setups inside the risers and hutches and what modifications you may have done like shelving, lighting etc.

@Admin :if this thread already exists then please delete this.

Snap on led lighting, I attached some aluminum sheets to the screwdriver hangers that come with the hutch to make shelves for my scanners and meters, I have a built in fan under my scanner to keep it cool. Nut and bolt bin to keep that **** from taking up drawer space.

That looks awesome dude, I'm in the middle of setting mine up. Some crack getting the two large boxes off the back of truck. Is yours an 84" epic box?

A question for the Snap-on guys, I am replacing my hutch with the new style. I have the old one with the bifold door. Does the new style one come fully assembled, or do you have to put it together?

There was a snap on hutch my way for 200. Just a little fella for a 40" kra series box with cabinet above. I contemplated it but only thing I could put it on is my kr1000. May have looked silly but would of still been able to have my vise on top of the box until I can find a couple kr1011 side boxes. Deal breaker was it didn't have a pull down front on it. There was also one for A krl1000 series for 250. No overhead box and an inch too long for my box

Hi there, not sure being honest if mine is old or new style but it did come fully assembled. Just had to disassemble the Snapon packaging which was fun as there is a lot

So no sooner did I receive my Riser and top locker then the mods began! Lighting in the riser channelled and all up and running. Next will be to get the top locker lit up also.

I have a Kennedy riser and a Gerstner oak top box for my toolmaker stuff. I used to have it on top of a HF 44", but since have separated them, and have a surface plate on the HF rig instead. The Gerstner is largely bling, and doesn't get used much. I've had it for years. They are kind of a rite of passage for old-timey toolmakers, and I'll own it until I die, at which time it will go on to my son.

Any pics of the riser setup, sounds nice. Never heard of Kennedy brand before, is it USA made stuff? Here in Ireland we very little variants in brands compared to you guys.

Closest thing I have to a hutch is this little riser I made for my Kennedy.

Damn Super4, you work quick. My hutch is at work, still in the box. Im having a piece of stainless made to cover my hardwood top. Then I'll shim my lockers so they hang straight. Install the stainless then the hutch. Hopefully up and running by next week.

It looks kind of puny compared to the rigs posted here, but here is my set-up I used to use at work. I had it set up on a Harbor Freight 44. I was shocked to see what a Gerstner box costs these days!

Guys this is some great content right here. Loving them all!!!! That green SO epic is awesome. Love the color combo of the Matco and the Cornwell is very nice too with a good sized hutch.

@MushCreek : your setup is trick dude doesn't have to be all bright lights and big to be cool. Liking the matte finish on the Kennedy.

Hey John,

Over many years, just because they were good buys, I've accumulated three riser/intermediates; the Kennedy 5150B shown to go under a Kennedy 526B top, an older Snap-on between a top and roller and a Lumidor between a Kennedy mechanic's top/Waterloo roller, plus a Waterloo side box. They all came from garage sales/craigslist. If I'd been faced with paying truck/retail, I'd probably have gone with a larger top and roll cab.

Your opinions and results may vary.
