Well-known member
So due to the positive feedback I am doing this.
This is the official spring cleaning/summer tool exchange thread.
This will work similar to the Christmas secret Santa with some key differences. Please read the rules and your request to participate is concidered acceptance of those rules.
How this works. You send me a message requesting/offering to participate. After a few weeks ( 2-3 weeks depending on my schedule) I will close sign-ups with a warning notice posted in this thread.
You will also want to announce your request to participate in a message in this thread.
All who choose to participate will be put in a basked and names drawn as to who will be the recipient of your gifting.
You will be notified through message here on GJ just like how secret Santa works.
When you message me, send:
GJ username
First and last name
Address to ship to
Phone number (optional)
Email address (optional)
Rules....
1 this exchange will be for tools only.
2 the idea is that you are gifting something that you already have and are not using or have duplicates of.
3 the tool must be in working order, not broken ( there is an exception to this rule, that is if you have something that is broken that you KNOW the recipient will want such as an old rare snap on ratchet they need for their collection....etc)
4 the tool or tools you send must have a relative collective value that is over $20 (otherwise why are you even bothering to ship it). There is no maximum value.
5 sender pays the shipping.
6 we are all friends here, no sending junk. Would you give your local friend junk?
7 no whining, pouting, or crying. This is for the fun of it and to a lesser degree it is gambling. You don't know what you are going to get, you may get something great that you need.....or not.
8 to participate you must be a member in good standing with over 100 posts.
9 I have the right to decline your participation if you do not meet the requirements or at the request of the moderators
So there it is folks. We are going to try this little experiment for the fun of it.
Thanks for reading
Bob
