I've been considering the stall mats or something like this which are recycled rubber rolls instead.

I would expect the rolls to be less hard wearing, but I have a workbench area and exercise area (no free weights) and would like something a little nicer looking than the stall mats.

Anyone else looked at these? Shipping doubles the price for me, so I'm looking (slowly) for a local source. I need to do about 8' x 24', and there's one pole in the middle. Hearing about moisture, (I live in a dry area, but still) I was thinking I'd use some concrete sealer like you use before putting down wood floors directly over concrete.
The link you posted would make for a good choice. Applying a penetrating sealer prior is a good idea as well. We have an article about gym flooring for the garage that you might want to read. It includes some products where shipping is free.

Thanks for the link. I think I'm down to either the rubber 23x23 tiles (easier to work with than heavy rolls, but lots of joints, or the 4' wide rolls.

I'll look into a sealer too. The issue I've got is that I don't want to empty the garage and try to epoxy the whole floor (2.5 car wide garage) and then fit rubber mats over the 0.5 width. But if I put down the rolls and leave the rest raw, it'll look terrible. Maybe I'll do cheap Harbor Freight foam mats to last me another year until I have time to do the whole floor epoxy.

If I just taped the rolls down to raw concrete, do you think I could remove them and wash and reinstall them in a couple years when I get time to grind and epoxy the whole floor? I really like the idea of having whatever it is, 26'x8' of all rubber rather than sections of rubber floor and bare concrete.

Thanks
