That's So AWESOME!
I work in a cleanroom for a semiconductor manufacturer as an equipment technician. No pics because everything is proprietary and I'd like to keep my job for awhile but you can google image "semiconductor fab" and pretty much get the idea. Cool environment though, challenging and interesting. I get to work on some pretty crazy equipment and play with some seriously dangerous chemicals and gasses on a daily basis.

Now thats cool. I bet there's tons of expensive tools and stuff laying around on that line...
I know that place.....as well as the one where the rear half is put together before it gets shiped there....my software helped make a good % of those composite parts....
Downside....unless you switch over to the JSF....you may be out of a job soon....
Strangely enough there are no tools "laying around". As part of our contract every drawer in tool box is "shadow boxed". Anytime a mechanic takes a tool they must put a chit in it's place. We know the location of every tool.
But if I walk out of my office there's a B-2 Beverly Shear 40 feet away.

That's what I started out doing. Started in the biz before bunny suits were the norm. We used to wear lab coats, hair nets and shoe covers.
Spent several years doing equipment installs mostly in the litho area then the last 10 years or so out of the fab in management. Finally had enough and left the industry.
Yeah It's pretty crazy. I've been in it for about 7 years now and things have changed a ton just in that short time. It can be very high pressure at times. We are constantly challenged to better ourselves as a maintenance organization and that keeps us plenty busy even when we're not fixing broken equipment. What company did you work for if you don't mind me asking?
I work for an "expeditionary airlift" contracting company as an Aviation Maintenance Instructor.
That like Air America ?

Pretty much... you call, we haul. We provide logistical support to various governments and government agencies all over the globe
On a related note, I never realized how many aviation guys were on here!
I sell tools.
