I started a couple threads on this old Wayne 2 Stage compressor I got a month or so ago. I teach shop at a middle school in Salem Oregon and love to restore old tools. We have put some hours into this compressor and it looks and works just great. The kids did some of the clean-up and helped with the job. It's cool to see them so interested in old stuff. Now that's "old school".

I've attached a few progress photos for you. Look for the old threads to see the difference.

Awesone job, I love what you are doing. It is good to see that some of the younger generation will learn the value of an old piece of machinery besides it's weight in scrap. It's sad to see the way our society has become a throwaway society. when this was built they didn't know the meaning of, or understand planned obsolescence.

Whats the "born on date"?

It looks really nice.......only suggestion is to take your time on designing the belt gaurd.Really try to get it "period" correct.Which is gonna be a challenge as back in the day, there probably wasn't too many gaurds. But still, think it out and try for one that enhances that beautiful machine ya'll revived.BW

That is great. It looks like the pulley ratio is in the 6:1 range that would turn the pump at ~300 rpm. That seems kinda slow and with the long fill time you quoted in the other thread I would wonder what the rated speed of the pump head is and what you are turning it at?
