I thought it would be fun to start a thread for all those tools you never thought of, never knew about, but when you got it you went "OMG" how did I live without this thing :rocker:

It can be simple.
It can be expensive.
It can even be complex!

What was it, and what did it do for you?

My service truck (aka old ambulance) at my day job so much easier to do my job. Now just to convince the wife to get one for the farm.

I feel the same way about trying to get a dump truck lol!! I had one barely working for $600 but the seller flaked on delivering it to me!! Now ay to haul that big`ol guy, but would LOVE to get a dump truck, and a boom truck :rocker:

i love my inspection camera

What do you use it for most? I have one but RARELY RARELY use it.

Swedish pipe wrench. Great for tie rods, round or rounded stuff. I get the "couldn't get this apart so I stripped it" jobs a Lot. I have the snap on/bahco ones.

Also cordless ratchets. Awesome.

My first S-K screwdriver in 1978. I had never seen a screwdriver that had replaceable tips before and was also magnetic. This was in an auto-glass shop where I had just been hired as a glass mechanic. I still have that green handled screwdriver and still use it.

Cell phone camera—so much easier to pull serial numbers off of things without crawling around with a flashlight squinting in the dark.

My Dewalt dcf899 was definitely an omg the first time I used it. Actually, it was a holy shite! In fact, it still is to this day. Truth be told, at first I actually thought I got ripped off because I bought it from a guy on Craigslist even though it was still new in sealed box. When you hit the trigger, the thing barely moves and sounds nothing like an air impact, but once you put it on a fastener the thing absolutely rips. Cordless impacts are pretty amazing.

Power ratchet wrench.
I barely used the air ratchet I've had for a decade, but once I finally got use to making this my primary 3/8" ratchet, it has been an OMG tool. Similar to when we first started using cordless drills way back in the day.

My cordless impacts. Don't know how I ever got along without them.

Both of these. After having a 1/4 inch impact, I don't know how I ever lived without one.

I also just recently got the dcf899 and it's really proven itself.

LOL, seams like tools you thought you couldn't live another day without you never use. And others that you weren't sure about you wonder how you lived without. for me, Cordless drill. Portaband, handee clamp, top three

Mine would be a good flashlight. I pull mine out dozens of times per day now.

Impacts in general, I got one a few years ago and I don't know how I lived without it. I always used a breaker bar and pipe before, it makes so many jobs 10 times easier.

Also a vote for cordless impact drivers. Small screws to lugnuts!

A decent cordless leaf blower. No more dealing with a 50 ft extension cord!

Shaviv for deburring holes anfd saw cuts in metal. Makes it easy!

Strap mounted flashlight for your forehead. I call them "geek lights"

3/8" Drive Speed Handle

Digi angle levels. No way I'd want to go back to just bubbles, or squinting at lines on the old "clock face" analog angle finders.

Beyond that, cordless tools in general. Cords are dead except for stationary equipment like mills, big bandsaws etc.

And my phone.

Lots of votes for the Knipex plier wrench. I've never used one; what makes it so special?

My HF Pneumatic rivet gun. Installing all these 3/16" steel rivets would not have been possible...with me doing it, w/o this tool.
