lol maybe you need both? They are technically "hard handles" I guess. Snap on put these on their 36 tooth ratchets for a while and they're made of a harder plastic than a regular comfort grip handle. I personally wish they had kept making them.

Might have to keep my eye out. However they'd probably fall into collector category, especially if in good a condition as those. All my other dual 80s I put hard handles on or got the newer ones.

lol funny thing is, I prefer using these over the newer handles. Dont' let the bad pic fool you into thinking theyre unused. I'm actually considering pulling the handles off them and putting them on the comparable dual 80's. I find they clean up a whole lot easier than the standard comfort handles. Either that or find more handles. Already have one extra for a 1/2 ratchet. put it on a SHLF80 maybe?

Oh yea, I've got newer Dual 80s with comfort grips that I pulled the handle off for replacement hards. I think I posted a picture. I also got some of the newer released hard handled ratchets from the factory but don't like them as much since they're narrower. I need to work on my 1/2 drives next. and one fhl80

This is some great stuff guys. I need to get my Snap On guy to order an Orange grip wire strippers for me. I have the red grip, but I'd rather have Orange, I didn't know they came in Orange.
I am a Sucker for Orange. And MAX 4 Camo. You could paint a turd Orange or MAX 4 and I would probably buy it from you.

has anyone ever put instinct handles on a ratchet? lol

i have :p well wasn't me that made it, was done for me by gj67stang on here
was more to be different, its the "hard handle" instinct variant, good if you need more leverage tho, not that its used much, more a vanity thing :p the normal hard handles are a bit more comfortable tbh probably get one of them made sometime....

What model stinger is that and does it have flats on the head to prevent it from rolling?

This is for the light only, no charger. I lost my other stinger and only needed the replacement light. Hope this helps

Lol mine says the same thing. Good thing though is every time he gets something "interesting" in orange, he stashes it away for me to see if I want it!
Here's a couple orange items that were in a box sent to me from warmpancakes. Sorry about the crappy iPad pic. Will try to get pics of the other loot tomorrow.

So 2 of my picks from the 10 piece set broke already :(
Called SO customer service, they are sending new ones, in the meantime I decided to make something useful out of the old ones. Took the broken shafts out and made the handles into screwdrivers! I had a few reversible pocket screwdrivers from one of the AV companies and they were the perfect size. Had to drill the handle on the flathead one a bit.

Hey Snap-on if you're interested, call 1-800-MOSSMAN!
PS I know I need a new catalog, I have a call in for a driver to get in touch with me.

I thought about putting the handles on some small files but the ones I have are part of a set with interchangeable handle (general) :D

I have to say the difference between the hard and instinct grips, the picks seem better on the instincts. Unless you find an older set with the knurling in the middle, the instincts are better imo. But for looks the hh are it.

OK guys, since we have already established that I am nuts:
I decided to go one step further with my mini screwdriver project. I took the plastic insert from the pocket screwdriver, drilled a large hole about 1/2 inch down, then a hole just a bit larger than the shank most of the way into the handle. I pressed the insert in and it fits like a glove. Naturally the first one I did at home did not come out as well as the one I did on my lunch break at work, with better sized drill bits :) I had to glue the insert in the first one as the hole was a bit too large.

So, I am sifting through my flight plans for the upcoming weekend, laying out stuff for everyone to do while I am gone, the phone rings. One of my regulars has a proposition. He knows I have boxes for sale. He wants to trade me 2K cash and some tools. I know what he has so I say what color you need, he says he wants the red one. So I load it up, and head on over to his shop, and here is what I came home with.
Drivers, Ratchet driver, breaker bar, pry bars and an older original 3 pc ratchet set, and the older 12 pc pick, torx, and driver mini set from 90's. And 2500 green backs to take on my trip

Sorry 'bout that Jeff. Well of course being hard handles I will be using the chit out of them. I am going to sell my Green soft grip ones. I have couple on eBay now, I might just list all in a bundle. I really can not get over the ratchet set. I have tried to bid on eBay for along time for a clean set. This set is NEW never used so I am stoked!
