My "oppinion" its a bike tool. I have seval of them myself. I think most of mine are import knockoffs. but its called a dogbone wrench (it looks like a dogbone, duh! :bounce:) They are designed to be carried in your saddle bag for quick fixes on the go.

That is kinda what I assumed it to be.. Not necessarily for bikes, but that make a lot of sense. Maybe ill stop up at the local bike shop and ask them up there.

Yep it is a tool that I know was marketed to the bicycle crowd. They are cast and are crude but they work for that application because of lack of clearance issues and low torque requirements.

The op made my day:) Back in the early 60's when I was around 10 my Father (A man who had only a few hand tools) had that tool in his small tool kit. Well long story short version I grabbed that tool and headed to our neighbors house because he had an old broken VW motor laying in the grass, and he told me I could play with it.

I put that sucker on the first bolt and gave it a pull in my small hands and that sucker I swear was made out of pot metal it snapped into two pieces.
Needless to say my Father was not a happy camper that day:wtf:

Thanks for the memories of childhood, before I-pods,cordless items and the web.

these wrenches are still made today in germany, they´re cast zinc i think, but they´re only for light duty work and usually are available at bicycle stores and come in bicycle repair sets.
