If you had a large safe like what's pictured would you put a mat of some kind between the concrete before bolting? Also what are the best bolts for concrete, I don't want to cause future cracks. Does epoxy in the drilled holes help prevent cracks?

I have a safe, so just wondering.

It seems to me that folks with that wood-amazing garage have the ability to do whatever they want, I-bean and hoist rail up top. Air too. I want to win the www.gunwatcher.com/contest it's $20,000 in actual firearms being given away, I don't have the money to fill my safe otherwise.

Sooo...umm...where does he park his ride?:D
Exactly what I was thinking, (beautiful) but where's the shop space? I bet that shop has $350k into it. For that kind of dough you could have one helluva real work shop fully outfitted with fab equipment, lift and all the tools you'd ever need. I bet that guy doesn't work on his own **** too often :)

Didn't the article say this was a hunting lodge sort of place, not a shop per se? The beam and hoist look to be for hoisting the kill before you dress it, but if that's the case, seems like there would be drains in the floor - and all that wood would get stained from the blood, wouldn't it?

I dunno, seems like a nicely designed retreat, but from these pics I don't see a lot of usefulness.

Maybe it's a garage only in the sense that you park a car in it, not that you work on them?

It's a hunting barn, not really a garage. It has a hoist for game and a reloading bench:

This rustic barn serves as a multi-functional companion to the main house, and is accessed by a meandering stone drive path between mature ash trees. A rusted steel roof provides deep shelter over a reclaimed wood and battered stone exterior. The cozy sitting room includes a large stone fireplace with authentic iron cooking hardware, and a desk alcove surrounded by glass. The Hunting Shop includes a track-mounted ceiling hoist, ammo loading bench, washer & dryer, and a modern day outhouse.

And the floors do have a drain and appear to be concrete (the image is too big, so I won't post it directly):

I love the space, but would have it outfitted very differently and for different purposes.
