I do not beleive that they are advertising any breast cancer affiliation with these items. It is part of a Mothers Day promotion.

Really? :headscrat I am very surprised to see SO ramp up production on something that comes only once a year. Also given the fact woman in general are not high percentage wise in the mechanical fields.

Given the fact that the ratcheting screwdrivers have been going for $100 on ebay. I dont think that Snap-on is going to be stuck with any pink merchandise.

These are for men, not for woman correct? I have only met one female mechanic in all my years in the automotive trade. And only three woman in a mechanical field as well, I would have to gather these purchases are for the working men wanting something different.

Now I can see the Japanese wanting these . . .

since I cater to the aviation industry i have about 20 ladies in the route and they all buy nothing but snap on. they know. they are used to their husbands doing the same thing. its fun to watch the ladies buy a bigger box than their husband and roll it in to the shop and watch his jaw hit the ground. then a few minutes later i get a quiet phone call asking about the next size box bigger for him....

OMG too funny! I have to tell you seeing more woman in the trades is always welcomed . . . Woman in general are more patient, and keen on details in some fields I find, good for you in having so many ladies in your route . . .

I'd heard a few months back that the Ministry of Defence and SIS in the UK allegedly give pink laptops to their staff, as they are less likely to be stolen...

I like them- easy to find, hard to lose and unlikely to be stolen (well, hopefully!)... given the opportunity (and the cash!) I'd grab this gear in a second!

nothing to do with breast cancer.
just pink for the ladies

I had thought about a pink ratcheting screwdriver, because I figured it was pink for Breast Cancer. but seeing as it's just another marketing scheme and not something worthwhile, I'll pass.

I'm sure I'll get flamed, I've got my fireproof suit on!

I don't think that's true, but they do lose them all the time. In taxis, on tube trains etc..

It's nice to know that our "intelligence" services are stupid enough to leave their computers on the train.

Question. Are you dealers seeing a lot of people who buy the CTS561 noticing that the black from the "snap-on" flakes off?

I have these and wouldn't be seen without them. I have a "thing" for being outlandish.

I thought the reason for pink colored tools is if you got one, nobody would bother to steal it.

Many years ago I bought my wife a pink ratcheting screwdriver for Mothers Day. It says "Property of Mom" on it. I bought it from Roy Halsetter if either Chad or Shaun remember him.

I bought the ratcheting one and the normal screwdrivers today. For good reason. Every one in the shop I work in is bad about taking tools out of other peoples boxes. Nobody eles I'm the shop bought pink tools. Just the socks. Lol

I have the black one, and the red paint from the logo has completely worn off. I was just going to repaint it with more durable paint, not sure what I should use exactly.

What I really want is a hard-handle version of this so it's easier to clean! Maybe the SO dealers on this board could mention this to the reps.
