Hey there,

Read about the Pitch Hopper which seems a bit iffy but what do I know.

It could be useful for me if that really works.

Are here some who use it and have some feedback?

Thank you.

That looks like a neat idea. All the way until the foam gets impregnated with asphalt pebbles. I wonder how cleanable that material is.

I have 4 of them and they are awesome. I install Christmas Lights on a few hundred homes every year and 95% are done from the roof. Pitch Hoppers make it easy work. I only wish the foam were replaceable, since after a while, they do wear out and you gotta chuck 'em. Still though, between painting and Christmas Lights, I figure I've got 2,000-3,000 hrs off my oldest pair and I still use 'em. You really need 2 for them to be the most effective. Between that and getting Cougar Paws it'll allow you to safely navigate very steep roofs.

I'm in the middle of a new build. The building has a 10/12 pitch and the roofing company used Pitch Hoppers.
I asked about longevity, they said about a year in their commercial environment. I bought a pair of them. I figure they'll last the rest of my days. Oh, I really don't plan on using them...that's a job for my nephew!

Never thought about using a foam cushion to work on a roof. When repairing an existing older roof I worry about damaging the shingles where I kneel and also the toe of my boot digging in. Any suggestions for something to use for that? My roof is only a 4/12.

Switching to just sneakers may be prudent. Softer, more flexible toes.

I was about to order one at their site only to find a new model for pre order.

It’s called freedom and who does not like freedom and it is on sale.

Featuring the red, white and blue colors so what is not to like.

It also might have the added benefit of not getting so hot as the black model.

What stopped me hitting the order button is that they changed the profile you stand on.

Which seems to be less rugged and less deep than the black model making it possible more slippery.

Since it is pre order there is no user input put I am still here asking if I am overthinking this?

Thank you.

I'd bet that they are being made in the same molds and it's simply the pics that make it look like that.
They really do work good, it is a bit weird stepping on them but they are secure.

Going to pick up a pair of these. My Starlink is roof mounted and I have to get up there every so often. I haven't calculated the pitch but I know it is a hair steeper than I really feel comfortable on.

Was going to post the same.

Oddly, I saw one of these (the black one) in use just a few days before this thread. Worked really well.

You were right looks like the black one.IMG_4741.jpeg

One questions for the ones who are using this.

It says use on architectural shingles only which I did not see when I ordered it and which is what I have of course.

Anyone has a friend of a friend using it on 3 taps?

Thank you.
