The PVC Flooring Issue Resolved?

This an interesting change that is going on in the industry. the 'rub' on roll out PVC garage flooring and even PVC tiles is that given the right (or wrong) set of tires, they can leave a chemical stain in the mats.

For the tiles a lot of the manufacturers have recommended a commercial acrylic floor sealer and others have what amounts to an aliphatic urethane that can be installed on site.

Better Life Technology, AKA has now come out with a way to apply the clear coat at the factory and it is not affected by being rolled on the core. It also adds an amazing showroom look. Lots of applications in trailer industry too as it keeps gas from soaking in.

We have added it to our site of course but its not 'brand new' they started by coating their imaged Corvette, Camaro and Checkered mats and it does seem to hold up very well.

How does it do in changing temperatures?

This product will expand and contract like any PVC or polypropylene product. In trailer applications, there are large temperature swings and we advise to glue it down. Over concrete floors, its not typically an issue. Just like you have seen on this forum with any of the tiles, etc, under the right set of circumstances, anything that is not permanently adhered can experience temporary issues caused by expansion and contraction.

The top coat does also have some UV protection in it which helps with exposure from direct sunlight.
