I have seen a few of their products , such as gas regultors and valves, but don't know much about them.

Here is a brand I've never seen before although the ratchet itself greatly resembles my Walden 1/4" ratchet.

^ I'm guessing made by Walden for Kerotest. looks to be a dead ringer for the Walden 3119.

I see that ratchet listed on Ebay with all kinds of different brands stamped on it on a regular basis.

a 1261 pear-head got no bids about four hours ago:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FLEET-No-1261-3-8-In-DRIVE-RATCHET-USA-Proto-Empire-/173074119715

I would imagine he'll re-list it. Or maybe just try sending him a message and see if you can work something out.

a full 3/8" set (with an oval-head) sold a week ago for $13.26 incl. shipping:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fleet-11-pc-3-8-Drive-Socket-Set-Used-3-/162839223396

there's another full set (with an oval-head) listed but the guy wants way too much for it:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fleet-Tool...piece-Socket-set-w-Box-3-8-drive/152863721995

It is in pretty good shape, though.

just an FYI ;)

the one that sold for $13 and change was up for weeks before somebody finally bought it.
that one that's up now has only been up a couple weeks now - no takers last time the auction ended.
seems like there's just no love for Fleet on Ebay. ;)

I picked up a couple ratchets today.
021.jpg

I already had the 3/8" Thorsen, but found a 1/2" P&C 6211 to keep it company.
017.jpg

They are very similar, aside from the missing cover on the P&C. Would it have had that piece, or were some produced without it?
018.jpg

The Duro 3202R is missing the little lever, but still worth $2. It'll be fun to make a replacement.
019.jpg

edit: I took the P&C ratchet apart today, for cleaning. That was fun. Wheeee

Except for the missing captive plug, isn’t that ratchet the same as the 1/2” drive one in the Ward Master/Truth 1/2” drive set I traded you back in November?

You know you have alot of tools when you:

1. Forget who the manufacturer is but did know.
2. Already have the the complete set but can’t find it.
3. Are reminded you received the set just two months ago. :spit:

I agree, looks like Truth. Sockets look alike too.

Shut up Greg [emoji28] You're not supposed to pick up live grenades and heave them back!

This is about 1/4 of my sets, most of which require a ladder to get to.....

That said, yup, Truth is it....95ce77fc2856f2fd1532b4939dc01601.jpg18459d632936e6330995b12bbfa80aa0.jpg

.

This is a good thing, it gives us reason to collect duplicate sets in case we can't find the one we are looking for.

Yeah, the bottom one is Duro or Indestro. I have a couple of those. It's good that you have the plug!

Main reason I bought it. Plugs seem to be worth more than the ratchets and it still seems odd they get lost since you really can't use the ratchet with out it. You think you would notice it's missing right away.

you can get those drive plugs from KC Tool out of Kansas City, Missouri.
brand new. Heyco/Wiha

1/2" = 60366 https://www.kctoolco.com/wiha-heyco-60366-1-2-square-coupler/

3/8" = 60261 https://www.kctoolco.com/wiha-heyco-60261-3-8-square-coupler-0-98/

1/4" = 60141 https://www.kctoolco.com/wiha-heyco-60141-1-4-square-coupler-0-79/

r_olson - if the part number on that ratchet is 28XX - it's an Indestro. if the part number is 44XX - it's Duro Chrome. same animal, different brand.

there's a "Duro Ratchet?" thread here somewhere in which I posted a mess of photos of the various models made by Duro Chrome and Indestro.

==

as an aside:
Every one of those I come across listed on Ebay I post in the "Ebay hot deal" thread.
There were some real oddballs just listed that I posted a few minutes ago (scroll down to "vintage / collector":

I found a Braunsdorf-Mueller ratchet this morning. I posted photos on a GJ Braunsdorf-Mueller thread, linked here for those interested in seeing it.

Has anyone seen one before? Has anyone seen any Braunsdorf-Mueller drive tools or sockets before?

Curiosity got the best of me. Simple design. Two screws. A retaining plate. The head. And a spring inside that slot in the handle that keeps the loose pawl engaged with the beveled teeth of the revolving head. I haven't found this patent yet, although it's similar to a few, including Mossberg 1,165,995 and Allen 1,261,092.

I added some more to the collection today. A plomb wf8 and a wf21, a challenger 1060 1/4", a proto 4749 1/4", a pennens 1060 1/4", and this unmarked 3/8" with a drive plug. I think it's been discussed before, but I can't find it. Anyone know the maker? 0dd3d15a40b767abf8d7249b67143f04.jpg

The line between form and function is not easy to distinguish sometimes. There is no rules against making a tool look good as long as it doesn’t distract from its function. I really enjoy using my retro ratchets for that reason. A few less teeth but that often makes no difference in performance.
My favorites are S-K, and Indestro. Here are a couple of Indestro Super ratchets that look awesome, and work very well.

I picked this up due to the retro style of it. Seems like it could use a little superlube, but its pretty nice none the less.
