I had no idea S-K had a thumb wheel option and I have to say I love it!

Does anyone else here have one?

I picked up 3/8" & 1/2" rebuild kits in the SK pouches some years ago at a surplus store. Only time I've ever seen a SK with the Easco style thumbwheel.

I really like those old Wright rachets.

That's another on the list...I own plenty of Wright round heads, but I've yet to see one of those pear heads. And it seems like this area (15 min from Barberton) has a lot of Wright on the used market. Oh well. The hunt continues...

I found this old neglected 1/2” drive Duro Chrome 1/2” drive reversible ratchet with removable plug on eBay. With some 3 in one oil added it works perfectly although being cad plated not much clean up is possible. For $2.00 (plus freight) I just couldn’t resist it.

I think I've seen the four rivets placed like that before on a through-ratchet, but it's not coming to me. Not that it matters much for the ID, but are you sure the drive opening is 15mm wide? Looks it says "17 M/M A/F" on the handle. That would be 17mm Across-the-Flats.

It was in the bottom of an ol rusty toolbox along with the chisel. Ill have to look back through all these boxes next time to make sure there's not any more Truth stuff in there hidden. No other markings on it but the Makers Mark. theres a spot thats been brazed maybe on the side. Ill put some moe pics of it up later. It works great though!

My guess would be Britool. Mine is flimsy, with the minimum of rivets, but I have seen them with four rivets in the head although not in that exact placement.

The tools in the toolkits for the WWII Packard-built Rolls-Royce Merlin engines also had "AT" part numbers, and Snapmom seems to think that ratchet belongs to that kit, not a Fairchild Ranger kit. My first thought also would've been Fairchild Ranger, as I didn't even know the Packard Merlin kits had socket drive tools.

Someone really wanted to only turn 1/2" square nuts with this Cornwell 3/8-inch drive rat. I didn't notice that the socket was welded on until I got it home. I thought it was just rust-frozen.

Here is a ratchet I picked up at the Tahoe flea this morning. It seems to be marked AER-BEA CO INC. From what little info I could find on the internet, it seems like they were a manufacturer of aircraft parts. It seems to have several coats of olive drab paint which I really didn’t want to remove. Here are some pictures.

Keeping it in the same vein, I found this 3/8" drive Bonney made PWA ratchet last weekend. In bright chrome, must have been made prior to wartime alloy restrictions.

I'm not so sure about PWA markings with chrome necessarily being prewar. Check out this Proto LA DOE wrench I found recently.

It was a mystery for quite a while. After seeing unfinished examples of wrenches and sockets around town for years, I was confident they were at least made by Williams. Thank Twertsy though, I don’t know how he finds all the historical info.

Hi Lugz. The AT 8022 ratchet IS listed on the inventory that came attached to the Packard Merlin tool kit rolls.

Sort of looks very close to J.H. Williams Industrial wrench! I have others stashed away in the wrenches box-will post up when found. Thanks Todd!

I have plenty of ratchets, nothing that I would consider vintage. I did pick the following up yesterday in a package tool deal:
1) Husky 1/4" set ratchet marked CM41
2) Bonney looks like 4693?
3) Thorsen 89T
4) Williams B52 Superratchet
5) Indestro 2775

First off YOU ****. That is a long pattern BE ratchet and they are very hard to come by. Being 1/4 drive it is even more difficult. They came with a drive plug that is inserted into the female end of the ratchet. I am super jealous. Let me know if you want to part with it.[emoji2]
