C4?.....

C4 Corvette, a reference to the 4th generation Corvette produced from 1984-1996. There have been 6 generations of Corvettes as follows:

C1 = 1953-1962
C2 = 1963-1967
C3 = 1968-1982
C4 = 1984-1996 There was no production 1983 Corvette
C5 = 1997-2004
C6 = 2005-present

The use of the term "Cx" for a given generation gained popularity when the 1997 Corvette came out and the automotive press made the term "C5" widespread. This caused the other generations to be referenced by their "Cx" designations.
