Above 1200 Sq/FT The return to VA shop build

After a three year stint in California we moved back home to Virginia. Our house was a few months behind schedule which involved us living in our 5th wheel for longer than we expected. We finally closed on our house at the beginning of November. The movers can and went. I had planned to hold off on building the shop for a little while but my wife was not pleased with all my stuff in the house garage, so I started shopping around. I found a steel building contractor in North Carolina that would be able to do it all. I decided to go with a 30x40x16 with full insulation (I did the insulation on my previous shop and never quite finished). I had a few small hiccups with the permit but the concrete got poured Christmas Eve. The garage will mainly be used for all of my hobbies. I own a motorcycle shop as a part time gig for money to fund my hobbies. I will be building a 10x30 loft in the rear for storage and have an office up there and hopefully some room to set my trains up. I plan on about 3 motorcycle lifts and plenty of work benches. Ive been meaning to post an update but I had to roll up north last weekend for a funeral for my Grandmother. Anyway, the building is up as of last thursday. On friday I went to a lumber yard and got some of the wood to start on my loft (pics to follow). I did some of the work yesterday but couldn't get any assistance to get the 2x10 rim joists up hopefully this weekend if we don't get snowed in. I am also working on getting an electrician but all the ones I know seem to be backed up, at this point Id just be happy having one of them run power from the house to the garage panel and I will wire the inside.

Some progress got done this week. I was able to get the loft floor down, next is to build the stairs and railing. The work bench got done. The bikes got moved in, I'm trying to get the house garage a little emptier so my wife can maybe park her car in there. I will be submitting my electrical permit this week so I can start wiring.

Ive been chugging along. I was finally able to get everything moved out of the house garage and now the unpacking will start. I got the tool box moved in, it looks a little sketchy but everything went smoothly. I have my electrical permit approved and I ordered the bulk materials to get started. We are having the pool put in and I'm hoping i can get their electrician dig a trench over to the garage to save me a four hour home depot rental.
