I agree with the garden hose, it is like 3/8" ID, I need a 3/4" hose, the pump can support a 1", unfortunately my quick connects are only 3/4" so I will use them with 3/4" hose.

This storm was good and bad, the sleet actually made a nice road base for the next storm, except it probably will melt away next week anyways. I would love to have this, then more storms afterwards, plowing would be a dream. The bad part is that most things are frozen to the ground, like the overhead door to the quonset hut, my plow was stuck down pretty good in the driveway, I had to move the truck back to break it free. I haven't been to the Salvage Garage yet, probably won't be there until tomorrow morning. I have a feeling that it got much more sleet than snow, so probably won't be able to do too much with what is there. I had to grab a steel spade shovel to dig the snow out around the doors. At my house it was basically ice bankings and hard sleet, we have a drainage area in front of our driveway so the water builds up there, I should have shoveled it every time the plow went by, but I wasn't feeling it at almost midnight last night.

Today's goal is to try and get the Blue Burb back together, although I am not being optimistic, no sense in getting my hopes up.......

The updates have been a little sparse. I hope that means you've been very busy, and not hurt or sick. If the former, that's good news and I'll patiently wait for an update.

Shoulder has been messed up again, I haven't even been to the SG yet, probably wait until things warm up a bit, otherwise trying to shovel will be an exercise in futility.

That's why I just spent a bunch of coin on a hot tub/pool. It's just another tool purchase in my mind. Tools change definition as we get older. What once was a luxury is now a survival tool.
Still trying to get our doctor to write us a prescription for a hot tub. No luck yet. ;)

Shoulder still hurts, not quite as bad as it has been, but definitely still hurts, I suspect it will hurt more after today, I have had to use it a bit already. Monday will be the next day that I have help on the Blue Burb, so probably not a lot to report until then.

Nope, ended up bringing Perk from the bottom of the Hill over to the Salvage Garage, then used the track crane to grab a big piece of plate steel that Dad needed. Also had to move some other stuff and clear off the ramp truck, the shoulder is essentially yelling WTF! Pretty much ice over at the SG, no shoveling or plowing would help. 615A7353-DC43-40FD-A9FF-B6600B43587C.jpegE019F086-0BE0-4C3B-9073-A64BE9EAFA69.jpegB5532889-E5E2-485D-8722-CA9764FDED18.jpeg

The north side of my shop looks like that but most of my drive was soupy mud today. Should be rid of most of the ice in my driveway tomorrow just in time for it to freeze up on Sunday.

I never plowed that last storm at the SG, it also has never been driven on when really soft, so it was pretty much like driving on concrete, I suspect it won't be gone tomorrow and I will have to deal with problems from it for another few weeks, assuming the overgrown rat is right......

The shoulder isn't worse, guess that is a good thing?

I may go over to the Salvage Garage again, I need to actually get a list of tools that are over there, I know there are some at the Hill that need to go to the SG and vice versa. It will be a pain because I don't have the Burb, just a regular cab truck with a sander in the bed.....
