Guess it is going to be a late night, had to hit tractor supply, then decided I didn’t want the tires in the Blurb all night, then got a notice that a package arrived, oh well, it was a nice thought.

I have seen that guys woodshop video awhile ago. Yeah, not going to happen in my shop. It's a bit over the top, but to each their own... he's put a lot of work into it.

Sounds as tho you are making some progress....

Don’t jinx me.

I am sure that guys shop is also where customers are shown what he can do, seems like a good idea, better than a regular showroom anyways.

I have to unload the tires, then scan some paperwork, after that I can head home.

I had a lot of fun with the Playstation, I bought the two and the three, but haven’t upgraded since. I am currently eyeballing the steam deck units, they will play just about every game that I want to play and they have the form factor of a Nintendo switch. There really isn’t any replacement for the original console and controllers though.

Just got to the point I can go back outside and try to get something done, spent over an hour on the phone with the attorney, then another hour with the trustee, then a half hour creating a synopsis for review, all for the family towers. I think we will be lucky to have our agreements by May 1st.

After the paperwork, I had to bust out the portable air compressor for a flat, the booster pack (twice) to get things started, then the Snap On man showed up and tried to get me to make my bad budget habits worse (he failed). I got the snow tires swapped over, but I still need to do a few things in the morning before I can head over to the Salvage Garage. My aim is to do as little paperwork as I can for the next two days, doubt it will happen, but I do need to get some of this stuff done. You would never believe this, but Dad bought another boat and guess who has to pick it up??? Saving that for next week.

I vote no on the snow, sorry for your situation.

I am rethinking what I was going to do today, I honestly just don't feel like being outside any more than I need to. The wind is what is killing it for me and luckily I can adjust my schedule without too much of an issue. There are only a couple things that I actually have to get done that involve being outside, they won't take long so I can handle that.

Tomorrow I have help, but the priority is to try and get the injection pump on the Cat V80 forklift so it doesn't leak and get the slack adjusters figured out on Perk, one needs to be removed so we can count the splines, then we will be able to get the new ones, should be able to have it back together with the original one so I am not out of service for the weekend.

Other notable mentions for the to do list are:

Install electric brake controller in Perk
replace brakes on the long partial tilt deck trailer
add tow mirrors to Blurb
Change out lights in shop at Hill (almost all are burnt out now)
take sander out of F-350, then clean it and prep it for summer storage
Make a pallet that holds the sander and all associated parts, so it is easy to move as one piece with the forklift.

I need to stop, I could go on for pages, everything I type makes me think of ten more.

There is something getting slammed around in the wind and I can't see it from inside, but when I go outside to look, it doesn't do it, then I go back inside and it will do it again. Go figure. I thought I knew what it was, but it wasn't, sounds like a five gallon bucket being slammed against a wall. Annoying that I can't figure it out, I hope it isn't some of the metal roofing on the shop, because I will find out when it is raining.

I definitely didn't get outside much, didn't even have lunch, now I am actually ready to leave the Hill, except I didn't really get any of my stuff done. I cleaned up my paperwork mess a bit, but that was about it.

How is the PT going on your arm? I have been fighting a shoulder/back issue for five months now. Today was the second time that I had what they call dry needling. The pain in my shoulder is fifty percent less than this morning. Might be an option for you. I always try to think out of the box as I get older. I was told it was arthritis but I think that is the easy way out for the doctor.

PT has not really done anything yet, in fact, I think the stretches they want me to do are aggravating it even more. I have only been twice, so I am going to give it some more time before passing judgement.
If the PT activities are causing pain or making it worse, let the PT know right away so they can make changes in how they are doing it.
My mother has had a lot of PT stuff for injuries and physical issues, and they have helped her tremendously on multiple occasions.

You may also get some relief with applying cold and hot in the right sequences to reduce inflammation and to loosen the muscles... something to ask the PT about. If it is inflamed, then you need cold, but once the inflammation is gone, then you can apply heat to help loosen and stretch.

Good luck, I hope you get some relief on that soon!
Since you have to get a boat for your dad.... can we see a knuckleboom lifting the boat from water to the trailer????

I have honestly never used that.

So far I have done a couple things towards my goals, then couple things that weren't in the short term bucket, but needed to be done, also made a mess with kerosine, but that is a totally different situation.

My Buddy is currently working on the Cat V80 forklift, we have a "bandaid" kit, if it doesn't stop the leaks, the pump will be $900 to $1600 to rebuild, so I hope it stops the leaks. If I have to rebuild the pump, the forklift will be earning some of that money back by hanging around for a bit. :(

Actually got a lot done, some was not in the schedule for today, but I feel pretty good overall. If I can keep things rolling, next week should be a great one. I already have the electrician lined up to help run some final wires and things so I can get the office setup with internet. I pulled the XC70 inside the shop, not really expecting to get to it, but if for some reason I can, it won’t be wet, tonight into tomorrow is going to be quite a bit of rain I guess.

We found a part number on the slack adjuster that actually was legible, so we didn’t need to pull one off after all. I got the long tilt deck trailer into place and ready for brake work, the plow is on a pallet, the sander is ready to be cleaned, the Kerosine tank from the camp is emptied and now resides at the Hill, the snow tires are up on the pallet rack and the Hyster is inside the Salvage Garage. I am kind of sore and pretty tired, going to hang with the Chuckster for a bit, then head home.

Sounds like a decent day. Motrin is for lowering swelling, inflamation, allows your injured body parts to relax.

Motrin is what enabled me to tolerate 25 years active duty, 5 years on airborne status, Special Forces selection, 15 months in combat zones, completing half Ironman triathlons, half and full marathons, etc., all with a ****** knee that hasn't been anywhere near 100% since about 1987. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.

So is this a Snap On vs Harbor freight thing?

Motrin is just Ibuprofen, same as Advil, same as the generic brands?
My wife finds her best relief from Aleve, which when prescribed is Naproxen or Naprosyn. A friend put us onto it after he went thru a bunch of back troubles. P/T works for me, but her current pains are helped by the Aleve.

Ibuprofen is the active ingredient in Motrin, Advil and other branded medication. Unlike Snap On vs Harbor Freight tools where I take there is a difference in quality (we don't have Harbor Freight here) there is no difference in using branded vs generic medication with the same active ingredient medically speaking just a price difference which sometimes is massive.

BE CAREFUL with ibuprofen. I'm well aware of it's anti-inflammatory properties, but taking too much of it for too long can severely damage your kidneys permanently. My brother was born with only one kidney and can't take the stuff at all if he doesn't want to be on dialysis for the rest of his life.
