It is cold this morning, probably the coldest so far. Hopefully everything that needs to will start. We moved all the trucks at the bottom of the Hill, wanted them out of the way so when we were ready to start hauling dirt it would be simple. Today I have to swap some tires around from one school bus to another, going to wait for it to warm up a bit, basically noon. Lots got done yesterday, want to try and keep progress flowing for the rest of the week.

While it looks to be a neat forklift, and I can actually see how that would fit into the plan for outdoor moving of materials..... It's just going to be mighty cold driving to and from the house!! Bundle up!!

Are you now classified as a forklift dealer?

There has been a lot of dirt moved, stumps tomorrow, have to make a place to dump them. I also got the tires swapped around on the bus, now I have a "free" school bus. I also dismantled the old LED light fixtures so they can go to the scrap yard. My back is mad at me for dealing with the tires, but I think I can survive. Tomorrow is supposed to be much warmer, that tends to help with everything.

To be fair, I have scrapped two forklifts in the past and sold two fairly recently, with one more on the way to the scrap yard soon. Better track record than the burbs. I think I traded two and scrapped only half of one.

I could have said one more than the Suburban count, although there may be another Burb in the lineup.

Full list of forklifts:

Clark
Parts Clark
Benson
Baker
Ponch
BFF
H80
P60
P80
H130
H110
Yale (scrap one)
Two new ones
You put “Two new ones” on one line.
Should be listed as new one #one
And new one #2

Cold start, but should be in the 40s today and even warmer tomorrow. I have an office meeting tomorrow afternoon, kind of ***** in timing, but has to be done.

Plan is to get more dirt moved and rearrange lots of other stuff in the process. Basically I don’t have a full plan. ;)

I think there is hope that the Hill will be ready for snow before we actually get snow. The Salvage Garage is a slightly different story, going to hope we don’t get any real snow before Christmas, if that happens, I think I can have everything done, if not, it is going to be a mess.

Up by my tower is going to be the biggest improvement, still have some more dirt and then stumps to move, going to place a bit of gravel, but just having the open space should make a big difference for plowing. I think Friday we are going to work on one of the other tower sites down the road, it is miserable.

Got all the stumps and root material out from my tower site, removing some more dirt, going to replace with some gravel.

Looks like I am buying another burb, this one should be capable of being a daily with little to no work. It will probably take some effort to make it the way I want, but I can already tell some people are going to be mad that I plan to run it in the winter with a plow.

When did you start caring what we think? Lol

You need to do what works for you.

Hope this one works out for you.

Someday I might actually have some of that cool stuff, you know the functional stuff.

Tomorrow should be gravel day for up by my tower, then I will be set with that area for the winter. Around the shop area of the Hill is a mess, but I think it will shape up fairly quickly, everything is kind of all over the place because we are shuffling dirt and need the room, once we are done with the dirt, then I will have more than double the space to put stuff...

;)

Looks like Saturday I am picking up the new Burb, then Sunday two forklifts. I am not sure what is more exciting, just kidding, definitely the new forklifts!

Is the burb a 6.5? if so daily driver is probably a stretch :) I took my 6.5 to Lincoln today, made up to 70 on 95 once. It likes 65 better, I think it has 5.17 gears, idled all day as I didn't dare shut it off, Got 10 mpg .
