Been busy, Dad is leaving tomorrow for a month and I just picked up his taxes a couple hours ago, now I have to get him to sign everything as well as some last minute checks. Next week might be somewhat back to normal, except for the Noreaster that they say may hit us mid week. :(

Northeaster's, remember those well when I was living in Stow, Ma in 2005-6, every time up to a couple ft of snow. Hope it will be a milder version with less snow/inconvenience Strouty.

They are talking like it could be a good bit of snow, I suspect they will know better on Monday. I am expecting the worst.

Dad and Stepmother's taxes are done, I have all the documents to mail out and everything was signed, should be good for the month. I just hope he doesn't harass me too much while he is gone...

He gets mad after a while, then it just makes things worse.

I am still at the office, didn't realize it was almost 9, guess I need to start packing up and heading home.

I am always sidetracked, so how would that be any different???

Honestly, just getting some of the space cleaned up is going to motivate me to do even more. I have a bunch of boxes that have to go up to the office now. I figure I will work on the office for a bit as well, but first I want to try and get the little garage cleaned up so I can easily put the army forklift inside. Looks like I have two more days before the weather turns, we will see what I can get done.

Sounds like heavy wet snow and lots of it. So many trees hanging I can see more power outages. Supposedly big time winds also. I’ll be bringing in some wood and getting Gennie gas before thursday

IMG_0342.jpegIMG_0343.jpegIMG_0341.jpegIMG_0340.jpegThe jig is up, 3500 exhaust failed, have to do the deed now. I tried the second easy way, no luck, going to have to pull the manifolds. Previous owner did some serious accidental gas welding on one stud and the rest are not having any of it. I was going to try to weld nuts on them, but they have become one with the manifold and I would rather have a stud to work with once they are out of the truck. I also have spare manifolds, so not a huge deal if they are junk.

A dentist once gave me a handfull of old dentist drills, said I would probably find a use for them in the shop. Lon story short, I cut a slot in stuck nuts or sometimes two slots then a chisel or slot screw driver makes short work of removal. Just a neat trick.

Chevy studs are always a pain. Used to do a ton of them. Heat the mainfold bright red around the stud, put a 5/16" nut in the impact socket, impact in reverse pushing against the stud. Backed them out 95% of the time. The other 5% of the time, a kid I worked with could blow them out with the torch and leave almost perfect threads. He was amazing.

When I left the Hill there was a solid inch of snow, by the time I was halfway to flat ground there was almost no snow, once I got near my House, there is only rain. So three miles from the coast and 400’ of elevation makes a big difference. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Jack stand will probably get nailed with two feet of this ****.

Messy wet snow that unless you have pavement, you need to hold the blade up a few inches. I did make it up the hill and out to the road. Trees are bent over into the driveway.

My power plant, humming along. I think this might be a long outage, it certainly seems widespread and all at once for everyone.
