Been pretty slow the last few weeks, I helped a Buddy move a piece of equipment last weekend, of course he paid me in equipment too, so now I have a matching 4 ton hand punch to go with all the Di-Arco stuff I got a few weeks back. At least everything matches and is all rated for 16 gauge steel. Then I went and picked up some aluminum framed doors I bought a month ago, they were a lot heavier than expected, left them on the trailer until I figure out where they are going. I have been on the hunt for a decent storage trailer, striking out left and right, way too much money or way too far away. I need to get something soon, the shop is a cluster fack and I don't have a lot of room to work with. Spent half of today just shifting things a bit so I could get to the drawers and shelves. I have help all this week, so going to try and make push to get things so they can be used.

Since I found out that my local ordinances no longer allow conex boxes and if I want to put a "roof" over them, I need to go before the planning board to get approved, I have made the decision that everything is going to be in trailers. I have secured three 53' box trailers to start with, then I can sell the conex boxes. This will work better for me anyways as I will have to shuffle stuff at least two more times in the next year or so. It technically also give me more storage space both height, width, and length. This summer is going to be the summer of consolidation...

Are the boxes you have grandfathered? If they are, I would definitely not swap them for trailers. Trailers, being up off the ground will be pain in the *** to access, especially as you get older.
They are grandfathered, but when I have to move them it is going to be a PITA, especially since it will be at least two times. I understand your point, if I was to keep them, I would have to empty them and essentially leave them empty or only put easy to remove stuff back in them. At least until they are placed "permanently". They are currently situated on sandy soil that needs to be removed and replaced with gravel, so I have to move them from the current location and I don't have enough room to put them where I want them to be permanently, so they would probably end up being moved a total of three time. I am just not sure it would be worth it as this will be over the next year or so. The trailers are super easy to move in comparison and they do not need to be unloaded, just need to strap a few things down before moving them.
Long term goal would be to have maybe one or two storage trailers, but I suspect that is probably a stretch and it will end up being three or four...
I can easily make a set of stairs that can fold out of the way, also thought about making a tiered area just for the trailers to get them lower. I honestly am not a fan of the conex boxes, they have condensation issues and they get way hotter in the summer than the trailers do.

I brought two of the trailers to the Salvage Garage, the third one is going to be tough, it is in a row of trailers and has no room to get it out. Might be able to have them move things around and get some clearance. Not sure how much I will get to do this week, pretty full schedule already, at least I have things in motion.

15k, sweeper is not included. I could not pass it up, it is essentially the same as my 13k, except it has working sideshift, working fork positioner, and essentially new 8’ forks. Also it is not a standard transmission and the tires aren’t dry rotted. It does have significant blow by, but it runs very well. It also comes with a spare engine to rebuild so I won’t have to take it out of service as long. I am paying a touch more than what I was quoted for new 6’ forks to replace the 4’ worn out ones on the 13k forklift. On top of that, my buddy is interested in the 13k one.
Tomorrow’s forklift, technically it is today since it is after midnight here, is just a small electric forklift. The battery is good and will fit in one of my 24 volt forklifts. Going to spend a minute with it as I was told they spent a lot of money replacing parts and could not get it to go forward or reverse. It steers, lifts, tilts, and side shift works. Might be something simple, might be a few parts and some scrap, but it is worth doing a bit of diagnosing before sending it to the scrap heap.
