Did I ever tell you guys about my coffee table book idea? I have been saving pictures of my boots while on the towers for years. I actually think some people would buy it.

Ha ha, that is awesome. I took snap shots of a beaver pond for years while I monitored the water level and was on the lookout for one of the beavers. Took me over a year to get a pic of one of them. I can't imagine anyone else being remotely interested in those pics, but I enjoyed looking at them and seeing the changes to the pond over time.

And if Cosmo Kramer can get his coffee table book featuring pictures of coffee tables published, you should have no problem getting your boot pics book published, Lol.

Actually, it would make for an interesting study, what type of footwear do people all over the world wear to work? From the little that I have seen of the 3rd world its not unusual for some of our less fortunate brothers and sisters around the world to be doing some serious work with no footwear, or very flimsy shoes or sandals. The wear and tear on the footwear tells the story, just like someone's hands.

Maybe you should do a book? ;)

I spent a chunk of the day at one of the local TV station’s warehouses, cleaning it up. I am going to take all the scrap and get paid a nominal fee to do the work. Lots of copper, so should be worth the effort, lots of cool stuff too, but I don’t plan on keeping much, scout’s honor.

Yes, but no value other than scrap, even then it isn’t much value, except the elliptical, that is easy to prep and have bare bright copper. I am hoping to end up with $3000 in scrap, but it is hard to judge the weight right now. I charged them an additional $500 since they want the wood removed. I think I may be able to unload that for free on Craigslist.

I will post more pics when I start prepping stuff, back of the burb is pretty full, I have been installing the top on the new bench. I figured if I didn’t do that now, I was never going to do it. I also repurposed a few handles from the ambulance so you can grab it from either end and pull it where you want.

I am going to put another coat of waterlox on it, then unload the burb so I can go home. I think I moved a few too many things that should have been moved with two people while I was at the warehouse.

The elliptical would have a dehydrator hooked to it so the inside stays dry, it has no foam core, the regular coax can be cut down the middle to get the copper from the foam, but it is a lot of effort. I usually save that stuff for when I am desperate for something to do or if I need some cash.

Basically one swipe with a razor knife let’s you peel off the jacket, then you get shiny stuff.

Here is what I had in the burb, it wasn’t stuffed to the gills, but I was trying to take certain things.

I am thinking custom lights for these old FM antenna parts, what do you guys think?

Then these brackets are just screaming to be used for something.

I will have to take all the wire off the spools, this stuff was installed as control cable going up the towers, but the jacket was not UV stable, so it all had to be replaced.

It's THWN, but what's the gauge? You might as well make sure you have extra Stanley knife blades, you'll need them.

The large cable is like 22 smaller cables and I am not stripping it, that is something I don’t do unless it is larger stuff, I think the largest wire in it is probably 18 or 20 gauge.

I got the new pump for the cooler all hooked up, seems to work fine, now I am trying to figure out what I need for parts to get the flow indicator and strainer hooked up. Everything I do is slow moving, seems like that is just how things are moving these days. I am still hopeful that I will have it all set up to weld by April or sooner.

The tower modification plans may be messed up, working with the engineer to get that squared away, most likely means that we have to buy lots more materials than initially thought. :(

I am guessing that things will continue going slow, then everything will happen all at once and I will have to jump through hoops just to keep going forward.

LOL, you haven’t missed anything. No progress other than the resistors arrived a week ago.

Today has been a waste, I hope that tomorrow will be better, I need winter to be over.

It is high 30s and raining, supposed to get a good amount of rain today. Next week looks like highs in the 50s and just a a couple days with lows in the 20s. Once the low is mid 30s it should be fine, but we do tend to get big snow even into April some years, so who knows.

Now it is snowing and accumulating, at least the weather is predictable. Wish I had that job, if I was only right 50% of the time, well, I wouldn’t have a job.

I need to start posting more, looks like 25k is just around the corner.

I am at the shop, but, only for one reason, I sold something on eBay and I needed to ship it. Tomorrow I am going to the tower warehouse with the GF, she wants to see if there is anything that looks too cool to toss, this means inevitably, I will have to bring some things home and store things that I don't want. :(

I should be at the shop after that, but only for a cleanup, I have help on Sunday to go back to the warehouse and really get things moving. Borrowing my Brother's dump trailer and dump truck, so should be able to get a lot of **** out of the way.

Whiteout conditions for 5 minutes, sun and blue skies for 30, overcast for 2 hours........repeat until I'm home. It's Michigan, if you don't like the weather, hang around for a few. It'll change.

It turned out fairly decent, we ended up with a lot more rain than I expected. Never seen it this bad at the shop.

That certainly is the positive way to look at it.

Things at the shop are crawling, no, I am lying, nothing has gotten done. Between the office and some other personal things, I have essentially avoided the shop altogether, even when I went there on Saturday, I got nothing done, literally nothing. It felt awful.

I have sooo much paperwork to do, also have been looking at a bigger copier for the office, we can’t print or scan 11x17 and I really need that feature. I think I am pulling the trigger on a used off lease xerox unit. I need to do a bit of measuring to see if it will fit where I want it to fit.

We had one at work that used 36" paper from a roll.

I am glad that you are still around as well. Dan and I still have lunch a couple times a year, in fact, we are about due. Good luck and don't be a stranger! My 25k gift to you!

Dan hit me up a few weeks ago when things went haywire, I have not hit him back yet but will. Thanks for the 25k gift, that's quite a milestone bro, I'll be around for sure.
