Well as fate will have it.... I just checked in to see what's been going on and holy S#*t look what I find. Mr. Nines... maybe you and I ought to try a little harder to get back into thre GJ. I'll be back, a customer just pulled in.

This afternoon I was trying to get ready for the warehouse cleanup tomorrow, but I can't find my milwaukee M12 PVC shear. I have looked everywhere, but no luck. That will make cutting up some of the coax into a RPITA. I may have to order a new one, not even sure where or why it would be missing. Last time I used it was cutting to length a bunch of coax, so I looked in Bev, looked outside where I used it, looked in the barrels that the coax went into, looked in the conex, not a sign of it. I spent a good hour looking for it so far, this is the type of stuff that I hate, especially when I actually have a drawer labeled M12 tools.

Nope, it is for cutting PVC or in my case I use it for coax. I have one last place to look, after that, I am ordering a new one. :(

"It's right where you left it." I can hear my mom saying that. And my dad would say "If you put your stuff away when you were done, you wouldn't have this problem". Yeah, thanks for nothing. I hope you find it.

You showed a pic of cut coax during that time, I think. Go back and look at the pic to see if it jogs brain cells. Do you have security cameras inside to refer back to?

"When you find something, it's always in the last place you looked" - duh! Of course you stop looking for it once you find it.

Hope you find your shear Strouty.

Unfortunately, the last time I used it was in the dark in December, it could be in a snowbank. I will know when it all melts. It may turn up, it may not, but it has paid for itself over and over again, so I will not complain. As for a place to keep it, there is a bag inside Bev that has the tools that stay there and it was MIA, the spare blade is still there, but no tool. :(

Today I had a bit of help, we loaded up all the wood from the warehouse cleanup job, then we moved some of the things that are hard for one person to move. Next step for me is to start disassembly of some of the larger components, then start hauling scrap.

I have not looked there, I am almost positive that it is not in there, the deal for the house got shuffled into limbo and I cleaned out my tools. That is another frustrating thing, not only did I do all the work to clean it up, but now I have to sit and watch the house deteriorate. The owner is a bit delusional about the value and in the end, they wanted me to do a crazy security deposit and that is where we are. If it was a little old lady, I would be really mad, but it is hard to get that way with her.

Well, I spent $125 getting rid of the first load of wood. Probably could have gotten rid of it for free if I had more time just by advertising it in Craigslist, but I needed it gone and additional handling would take time away from getting things done elsewhere.

I still need to empty the trailer, at least after that any future loads should get a check rather than costing me money.

On another note, I found a crane on Craigslist yesterday that I may go and take a look at, it appears to be the same as mine, but 10 years newer and it has the boom behind the cab. The truck cab burned, so it is not operational, but the guy has another cab to go with it. If I can buy it right, it will save me a ton of money, since I was considering moving my crane to another truck, anyways, this may end up a pipe dream, but it could be perfect timing as the spring auction is soon and I could put my old crane in it.

It smelled so bad, the stuff was on a wet floor and used as a toilet for rodents. I didn’t feel bad at all about tossing it.

Unloaded the dump trailer today, no pictures, but it was another $65, under $200 so far in trash removal from the warehouse. I figure I may have another dumpster load of misc trash, but this got rid of the bulky stuff.

Going to look at the burned out crane tomorrow, I was all set to pass on it, but my Dad says I should get it and he will loan me the money so I don’t need to fire sale my current crane. After typing that, I realized I probably shouldn’t use the term fire with my current crane, no need to jinx myself. ;)

Is that the same fire that used a coffee can of gas as mentioned earlier. Ok, that was a really poor joke, but I'm poor, so what do you expect?

Went to look at the crane today, waste of time, apparently the guy didn’t understand what rust is. I knew at about 50’ that it was going to be bad, I tried to be friendly about it, but he thought I was dickering, all I wanted to do was get the 6 hours of my life I was wasting back.

In the end, I got to see DLC and Rick, so not a bad day. :)

I am working on making some space in the shop, taking things out that don’t need to be inside and removing supplies that I don’t use. I am gaining floor space and that is always a good thing.

The frost is still letting go, this is about 12” deep, amazing how much the ground can move.

The stuff owns us. That's what I'm slowly figuring out.

I did get a few things done, seems like a lot since I haven’t done much of anything for months.

Put the tower section up on saw horses, will be easier to work on now. Still in negotiations with the cell carrier, so I haven’t ordered any materials yet.

Got the water tank outside, shouldn’t freeze now, I hope.

Made room, now I have to strip all this coax, tomorrow I will be bringing back a lot of copper and I need the shop space to prep it all.

My Brother came over for a while, kind of derailed progress, but it was nice to spend some time with him at my shop, usually I am at his place. Got to use the new PVC shear to start cutting up some of the coax, I made some more room, so I should be ready for the big copper pieces tomorrow.
