I am hearing mice in the ceiling at the office on the hill. :( I hate mice.

I am trying to scan some documents, but it looks like I may have run into a snag, some pages fold out three times, not sure if I can scan them or not, going to try the feeder and see what happens.

Get a spray bottle and some peppermint oil. Put hot water in teh bottle, add peppermint oil. Hose the **** out of everywhere that has mice. The place will smell minty but it will drive them out.

I don't think the mint will help, they are in the ceiling itself and I don't want the entire office to smell like mint, it gives me a headache after a while.

That sand melted, it must be broken??

The more research I do on this engine/trans swap, the more nervous I get, there is essentially no support for anything like this and allison holds all the cards when it comes to the computer. The one I have might still work, but it has locked out 6th gear and is designed around 6.14 gears, would most likely top out at about 50MPH, not good at all. I have been scouring the internet, trying to find various trucks that had detroit engines with allison automatics, a lot of the for sale listing have some specs, but more important, they offer the VIN of the truck, this should give me a starting point, so when I need to get things reprogrammed, I will have to give a VIN that has specs similar to what I want to end up with. I am not as concerned with making the engine and trans run, but I am concerned with making the trans shift correct and the speedometer read correctly.

Omg that Peppermint oil works...

Not mint, Peppermint...

My outside kitchen had a family of the population of New Mexico... move in without my permission.

I have six large cotton balls saturated in the oil... along with some oil painted along the back of all the cabinets at the floor level...

Bang... Mickey and his extended family took one last **** and left.

To minimize the smell ... just toss one cotton ball with it... in the ceiling. Wear gloves... toss them...

I wonder if the neighbor will me steal some of his peppermint. There's a 50 acre field of it around the corner from me.

Unfortunately my not feeling well is mental, Dad has me changing directions once again and it is a total 180 degrees. I really don’t deal with the flip flop that well.

Strouty, Be strong... but try to be flexible. It's a horribly hard road you are on. Lots of pot holes, dips, three point turns at highway speeds. It's a phrase my uncle used...

Take a breath... buy some lego, or a truck... and have a great day.

Thanks guys, Dad basically unwound swapping banks, the current one got sold and new fee schedule will be somewhere north of $100 per month for the multiple accounts we have. I had also been waiting to get a few customers dealt with until we swapped banks, as changing EFT deposits from big companies and the government is a PITA, now I could have started dealing with that before Thanksgiving. He also sprung on me that he is not selling a property that he should be selling, instead he is putting $20k into it so he can continue to rent it for $650 a month. He could not see that the house is worth maybe $50k and putting $20k into it will make it worth almost $60k. He also backtracked on selling the house that I wanted to keep due to revenue stream, so that was a positive, but everything else was negative, it is totally a roller coaster ride, just afraid I don’t have a seat belt and my arms are getting tired of holding on. :(

I am almost used to it now, is that a bad thing? Not saying that I like it, but, it is just how things go.

Good news is that the Hydraulic pump that came off Perk originally should work for the knuckle boom, that should save me some money and time.

Strouty,

Long time lurker ( I think) first time poster.

If I have anything to contribute that I hope would help you in your current ( and past) situation it would be this simple read. In both personal & business affairs, I’ve found this book to be a game changer. It’s worth the easy read.

Hell, most people would benefit from it.

Just try and roll with it Strouty not much you can do to control "these" things. Otherwise it will drive you nuts. We are just glad you were ok.

Had a few meetings today, then took a quick trip to the SG to unload the automatic transmission, kind of tired of having it in the back of the burb. More parts arrived today for the OGMC, next week I should have everything I need, then I just have to find the time to do the work. ;)

Decide to get lunch at Chipotle, they had no steak, no chicken, no pork, and no tortilla shells. :(

Then since I was close by I went to the Cellular phone store so I can payoff a phone and when they check my ID, it expired in December and they wouldn’t let me do anything on the account, I wasn’t angry about this, I was actually happy to know I will have that level of security, I was sad that now I have to spend Monday morning at the DMV. :( :(

You guys might be onto something, I will have to see what DMV offices are around and maybe take a quick road trip, rather than sitting in a crappy chair for three hours I would sit in the burb instead. Only thing is, this is gambling, could take just as long at another branch.

The DVD with all the Allison transmission manuals arrived, great quality, not disappointed one bit. So far I have only had one paper manual and one digital one that was a crappy deal. The paper one looked like there was a lot more to it, the digital one had ten pages and cost the same as the ones that had 2000 pages, it really should have been included in another one of the manuals.
